@hellbound: the mod is done, only thing that is missing is the "strategics" mode, which would take me additional 2 months of coding etc. And I dont want / can affort the time anymore to complete it. So what I have done now is even more than I planned at the beginning.
Strategics mode is just too big for me, at least I am proud that my verhicle system is working. |

The mod is very real. I played it and I have a zip with the contents of it. (as of the last release). There is no where to put it.

Sounds like a plan. I have started an upload there. The zip I put up there does not have the latest EDuke32 snapshot, but you don't need it.

Mr.Fibbles nice upload but:
to reduce the size you could delete: 1. \texcache\ folder as it is not needed. it will be created on first run. and it may be different for each user. 2. all thumbs.db files as they are not needed (they are thumbnails cache created by Windows XP). By just removing the \texcache\ folder the size of Duke Army 2.0.zip is reduced to 107MB from 133MB And if you delete all thumbs.db files the size of Duke Army 2.0.zip is reduced to 102 MB Here (Duke Army 2.0.zip - 102 MB - probably version 3.0): http://www.sendspace.com/file/5vhq06 Update to 3.11 http://www.sendspace.com/file/hdwze3 NOT TESTED If you re-compress Duke Army 2.0.zip - 102 MB in .rar or .7z the size is reduced bellow 90MB

Yes you deffently want to delete the "TEXCACHE" folder, or people are going to get really weird looking textures ect.
And I think the newest snapshots of eduke make Duke Army chrash when you use the ALT fire. Well, it did when I last tried any way. Had something to do with the holoduke.

http://rapidshare.com/files/11644369...erson.def.html no more error: Skin graphics/armytextures/marine/inv.png not found. there is also another error: Sound sounds/_0.wav(#2) not found. this error is related with dukearmy_user.CON there isn't _0.wav maybe it was left there by kenia on purpose, because he didn't finish the sounds ??

Yeah, I forgot about that stuff. Thanks for cleaning that up some then.
I did the same thing when I went to back up my Duke3D directory, left all the texcache stuff in until I went over the DVD size (then removed them to make space). I still hope kenia has a "new" version he has to upload somewhere. . .

you didn't fix that. see my above post. I provided a fixed firstperson.def the correct line is: graphics/sprites/marine/inv.png or did you leave this error on purpose?

hi Stan,
I can give you 3 hints about the game controls, but the rest of the mod is almost the same as in original duke, so I didnt have the intension to write a whole help page about it. 1.) Second fire mode can be toggled by pressing 'H' (holoduke in original duke), which has been renamed to 'alternate fire' in the settings if you want to rebind your keys 2.) if you holster your weapon you can sprint (blue bar on the bottom left) 3.) red bar is your 'rage', once it is at 100% you can activate berserker mode (use steroids) the rest of the game is just like original duke: aim somewhere, shoot somewhere, kill something and find the end of the level. |

First off, you need to actully own duke nukem and have the duke3d.grp file in your folder which has eduke32.exe.
Then place (NOT EXTRACT) the Duke Army zip file which you downloaded into a folder called "autoload" inside you duke nukem folder. Make sure there are no other files inside this folder. Then just launch eduke32.exe and it should work fine. To use the sniper scope you have to asign a key to it which replaces the holoduke button if memory serves me correctly.

![]() first of all make sure you have installed everything correctly. If you have done so you should see the new maps, notice new enemy and weapon behavior, new textures etc. Please excuse me that I dont want to write a tutorial about: "how to install a eduke mod" Information about that should be found on the eduke site. Second: Make sure that you have bound "alternate fire" to a button that you dont forget. On fresh install of eduke32 (or duke3d) its bound to " H " (holoduke). If you want to use a tank / helicopter: you only can use not enemy vehicles. In episode 1 (single player mission) there was no useable vehicle placed. Those were planned for episode 2, but I stopped working on DukeArmy. If you want to test them: Just select strategic episode, there are some vehicles and enemies placed. hope I was able to help you, bye |

hey guys, if anyone minds: I noticed that there are only out of date videos / screenshots online. So if anyone cares some example material what I could show off here would be nice, I myself dont have time to make anything (im only about 1 hour at home everyday excluded sleeping) and I really would like to see some nice movie

it's an excellent mod. and whenever you have free time, it would be great if you continue the development. It may pass a year or more before you release an update. But that's ok.
