Looks absolutely great, really really awesome..!

It's a mockup, so i'll refrain from nitpicking anything obvious, except, i have to agree with Maruno, the shoulders are awfully low...

I'm glad you guys point that out... i like constructive criticisms.
As for the shoulder issue ... i know what you guys mean... It does seem a bit low. The main problem is that the shoulder joints are ball joints so in order for this figure to have good articulation... some aesthetic aspect of this figure has to be compromised...
If im making a statue then this wont be an issue at all. Anyway i will look into it and see how i can tweak that shoulder

He is a customizer, he only does that for himself and it will be one of a kind, so no, we wont see more then one fig and I doubt he could produce them in a quanity to sell everyone a figure, specially wehn its a hand tooled figure that will cost a truck load of cash.

Still, he can show us how he did it and we can make our own Duke. As I said, I always plyed with that idea, but I never had a good headsculpt nor a fitting body.

Ive actually thought about auctioning the figure on eBay... and donate a portion of the $ to 3DRealms to show my appreciation as well as supporting them for the upcoming game Duke Nukem Forever. No promises though just one of the options that I've came up with...

What you guys think?

Cant you make a mold of the head to reproduce it?

It would be great to be able to buy this fig. I am a ebay member

Well, that is an intresting idea, but then again, its your work of many hours and selling it might be a bad idea, because, you know, its your unique figure, one of a kind, something I wouldnt give away. THe question also would be, if 3DR would accept the money as a donation, because, well, they dont need any.

So, no idea. Its your figure.

Quote:

Well, yes and no. THe thing is, there are several companies and people who mke custom heads mostly of actors, like Arnie, or Stallone as well as Kurt Russle and even dead actors like Lee Marvin.

They dont call the heads like that, they dont give them that actors names, but the likness is there. So far, no one of these actors sued Dragon, BBI or Hero HEads of using thier likness.

Computer game charas are a bit problematic, then again, people sell custom made gameer figures on E-Bay and I rember that one guy made this 8 inch Duke Nukem ig and sold it on E-BAy, he is also on DEviant Art. Here was also a second guy who did a custom and sold it.

So far, 3DR did not sued them or told them not to do it. I think its gets problematic wehn you sell like, thousends of heads to people all over the wrold and use the trademarked name, then I dont know if Duke´s look is/can be copyrighted.

The question is, could a privat person like me, commish a small company to make a Duke head just for me, as a one of a kind deal and put my own custom fig together? And, can I then sell it to other people afterwards?

I think Joe or even better, George could tell us more about this subject matter.

Alright guys.... I cant seem to find any good reference pics of Duke's shoulder ammo strap... especially reference pics of the back side...

The only pic I got was from a dark screen cap taken from DN4 teaser trailer and that aint much of a help...

Anyone got some nice ref pics?

Thanks in advance!

You could try and ask Micki! or Iggy to make photos, they both have the porcelain statue of Duke Nukem.

I took some photos then, to get a good view of the Shoulders of the Duke Statue of mine...

Xenoviper, when you do use the statue's shoulders as reference, you should know beforehand that he IS rather over-muscled... Looks overdone on certain angles, mostly from the side it looks very 'off'...

Still, you may find it useful, seen from the front looks pretty fine and not overdone as from the sides...

I took photos from various angles...

I hope they prove helpful... Else, i'd recomend looking at images of various bodybuilders shoulders... Doesn't have to be a reference 100% from Duke material afterall, as long it looks right on him in the end and all...

Sweet!! Thanks for the pics!!

This Duke3D version of Y harness is so plain... DN4 one from the teaser trailer has so much more detail at the back... I wish 3DRealms release more pics!!
Oh well~

I wouldn't be surpriced if Xeno actually gets a screenshot. A picture of Duke's back with single colored background wouldn't hurt even if he decided to leak it (which I don't think he would, if 3dr asked him not to).

I wouldn't be surpriced if didn't get one either, though.

Well on the games box art he tucked his jeans into his boots. But in game, when you do the Mighty Boot... they are not tucked in.

They're still tucked in when liiking at the mirror though..

Maybe he quickly untucks them to make accurate kicks and then tucks them back in after delivering a kick..!

It's also not jeans on the box art. He has the jeans over his boots in most of the promotion art.
