this whole court case thing with duke nukem forever has taught me that there are no good game journalists... nobody, i mean NOBODY ever did some digging in this whole hiatus few months after the whole thing started...

any journalist with some sense of journalism would try to get some info about the court stuff the most hyped and mythic videogame is involved with...

It's not Take 2's fault that 3dr didn't manage their time well enough to finish the game in time, without deadlines etc. If anything, Take 2 has been very kind to 3dr, giving over TWELVE YEARS for a game.

To be honest, I'm not sure what is a matter of public record and what is not. There should be a date set already if T2 and 3DR are going to court still.

This whole court date ordeal should be solved. Though I lack insight in how to solve it. Supposedly you could call a law firm (Baker & McKenzie in USA is a good example) and ask if the date can be publically announced, or contact the court itself (which I believe to be Federal Defenders of New York, Inc.) at 212-417-8700.

I can tell you this much ....

If the 20 page court documents are correct Take 2 has little chance of winning the case.

And they already lost what they wanted ..... They actually wanted that 3DR could not work on the game untill the court case, but that didn't went like thay wanted too.

If you can understand what i mean because my english is also verry bad. Or just bad.

Reading through this thread is painful. A lot of people here don't seem to grasp the simple fact "nagging isn't productive".

Based on all the screenshots/videos/etc they had a well designed thought out product. I don't even think the engine would have been an issue, look at how well Starcraft 2 is doing, and there still on Direct3D 9. And to top it off, Diablo 3 is probably going to follow the same suit(sense it's the same engine). We won't see Diablo 3 for at least another year.

TerminX has been doing a lot with EDuke32, if you want a "DNF experience" your going to have to make it yourself. Sense it is LEGAL to make your own mods for Duke Nukem, make your own experience that follows would you would have expected from DNF. The graphics tech between EDuke32 and DNF isn't to far apart. And to top it off FURTHER they released a lot of Duke Voices in the April 1st prank on FilePlanet.

Everyone here knows how to use Build. If you have a copy of Maya( or Blender which you can download for free ), start making your OWN Duke Nukem game on the EDUKE32 engine. You won't regret it because your own game, which will follow your own expectations.

When ever and if DNF gets out of litigation, it will be at least another two years before you get to play it. On the bright side, if Take Two wins and it gets transfered to another studio I hope I get a programming job on the project : ).
