Mouse sticks during game

It worked beautifully last night. Now tonight the game doesn't seem to want to respond to my mouse. Move the mouse and the screen sort of sticks and then catches up but by then I'm dead. If I'm standing still I can whip the mouse around the game follows perfectly. It happens when I run and try to direct my direction. Can anyone please help?
