Was the soundtrack ever released?

Hey guys,

I've just read that the soundtrack for Duke Nukem Forever was composed by none other than Jeremy Soule (Morrowind, Oblivion, KOTOR, Neverwinter Nights, Unreal II, Guild Wars, etc). I wanted to know if... first of all... it's true? And, Jeremy Soule or no, was the soundtrack ever released to buy or listen to it legitimately?

I tried, it did not help me much. There doesn't seem to be any "old" official statement that Jeremy Soule indeed composed the soundtrack for the game, from what I found on Google it was only "hinted" at during an interview with Soule because he answered a question with «When it's done!» when the interviewer asked him if he could reveal more information about the next project he was working on, and that was during the time when the game was apparently still under development.

Now that the game and the developers are gone I thought that maybe they had still released the soundtrack officially for people to buy or perhaps to listen to a portion of it legitimately, but that doesn't seem to be the case either. So, from what I can find on Google (very little information) it looks like the soundtrack was either destroyed, never completed in the first place or simply never released despite having been completed some time before the game had been canceled, which is quite possible because soundtracks for games are often completed months before the game is released.

Yeah, see that's your problem right there. I'd say the reason we never heard any of the soundtrack was because the soundtrack wasn't finished, or possibly even meaningfully started.
