dukematch expieriences

Post expieriences you've had with duke 3d dukematching, i'm interested in hearing them

like at first, i sucked at dm, even more so vs aabluedragon (or theifteen here on the forums) and mastermind

my last dukematch was vs oak man

times i got pwned:
-farenheit: me going behind a picture to get a freezer, oak running up slightly opening the picture, throwing a pipebomb in before i can get out, closing it and BOOM
-overlord: oak exploding an explosive with me on it
-overlord: running to a door and being blasted open by an rpg

times oak man got pwned:
-overlord: going into a secret that you can see out, but not in, watching him turned into rancidmeat after firing the rpg
-overlord: oak placing a laser tripbomb by the water and jumping out as i detonate it from the other side of the room, he didn't die so i finished him off with a chaingun
holoduke fun
-overlord: placing a holoduke in an alcove, oak shooting it, relizing its a holoduke, runs away to find me, i put holoduke in the path next to the alcove, i position myself like the holoduke was, oak shooting the new apperance of a holoduke while i shoot him with shrinker
repeat 4x in different areas

scores were 4 (i think correct me if im wrong oak man) in his favor

I played my first real match with my bro earlier, on HMWCYD3... I won with a score of one, him with a score of -14

It was fun.

lost vs aablue by 11 points (i had 9)
beat hitman by 3 points (he had 6)

highlights

- i only killed aablue 3 times
1. shrinking in a confined room
2. rpging a confined room
3. shotgun in open and a lot of luck
(i almost killed him one more time but i ran out of rpgs shooting into a confined room)

times aablue killed me
- anytime i started to fight hitman
- anytime i went out in the open or a confined area

times i killed hitman
- rpg and shrinker
- shrinker
- mighty foot while in open
- shotgun a few times

times hitman killed me
- pistol in open and me running out of ammo
- ANYTIME HE GOT A CHAINGUN CANNON!!! (tough)

scores were:

aabuledragon: 20

i played yet another match vs hitman

scores:

times i got killed:
12 rpg lots o places, normally fired in swarms
7 chaingun (very deadly)
3 shotgun
4 scuicide rpg mission
5 migty foot (guess it was payback)

i've been blown to pieces lots

times i killed him
1 lots o shotgun
2 pipebombs (lots 'o' strategy while possible)
3 rpg the elevator that he just opens

overall... hitman was pretty hard, after he gets going anyway

i got him one time by jumping into the aquarium in hotel hell and putting pipebombs by the entrance
at first he looked into the tank
and i said "hi"
he said hello
i said wats up
he said nothin much
and ran to the secret door as i detonated the pipebombs, it didn't kill him however

HAHA I've pplayed [HITMAN], he's a tough fellow, he's about my range in playing, I won 2 matches with him, and lost 1

The map consists of traps- such as crushers. However, when you press the switch to activate these traps it counts as a suicide for the victim.

had a dukematch yesterday vs duck nuck

he only got 1 kill on me with a pipebomb the rest of the time i slauthered him with a shotgun

This could work. When you miss it should be grinning. But when you kill someone, it holds up his carcass.

nother dukematch vs tjippie... easy @ first but gets harder after a bit... but the lag made me constantly scuicide , he won 10:1 owch

I just finished another dukematch vs lex and mastermind, at the start lex slaghtered us with traps! so badly that mastermind and i had to ally (or so i thought) he still kept killing me anyway) the order of scores was lex with 19 dopefish7590 with 7 then mastermind with 12. mastermind caught on and had a higher score than me for about 10 mins. then i annihilated... i went from 7 to 23 while mastermind went from 12 to 15 and lex went from 19 to 24. they started getting the hang of my patterns and killed me a bit... the score when i left was

mastermind:19

one time i got stuck and couldent move out of the area by the squisher thingies... masterminds pipebomb eventually got me but i got 3 kills while trapped

I'm a new DukeMatch player and I will come to the Dukonnector program this weekend. We may get a chance to see each other online. But remember, I'm no hardcore gamer, so I'm not good at multiplayer games..

I've only played 1 DukeMatch game in my whole life! That should make me a very easy target for a Duke veteran. :-)

Damn I can't start games any more for some reason... I can host, but when I click start game, an error message comes up, saying that Dukonnector needs close..
I can't even play on other people's servers, because when the host starts the game neither xDuke, EDuke, JF, or rancid even open

I've got a similar problem with Dukonnector. Both EDuke and xDuke do run, but none of them will pick up all of the players who are supposed to be in the game, so it gets stuck. I may have to check my router ports for this anyway.

i had a dukematch vs mastermind on hollywood holocaust and i killed him twice and scuicided twice menwhile his score went up to about 25

i found out why i was able to beat mastermind on luinar reactor last time

just dukematch him on a level he's not compleatly familiar with





btw dukefan you didnt join the room after it got disconnected then reconnected

We played on E1L1 and E1L2, 2 of me worst maps as I prefer Overlord
I had no sound so I guess that was a reason for my suckage, and half way through the game I had to kill a huge mother f*cking rat in the other room no rat stands a chance against my steel toe boots, just as no oak man stands a chance against mistake, for now, hopefully Its not the same for the rest of [TBN]

Round 1 goes to you Mistake! But one thing is sure, I WILL surpass you someday, now I know your tricks and tactics....BTW that was an extremely Good Game!

I started off great:

5=me
it was a close match we fought on overlord, and I almost actually beat him the game ended at a tie 10 to 10!
I killed him with shrinker and sneakyness
he killed me with rockets and brute force gg aabluedragon!
it was very close, 10 to 10!

How the hell do you do that without getting caught? The computers at my school restrict any installation of software, and they probably even keep logs of all programs that have been ran
