Has anyone finished Hardboiled level? Are you able to save the level? Did you have to complete the whole game with out stoping!!!! in order to open Dead on Arrival. Ive been trying to play this @#$%^ thing and it always starts me over at the begining. It Will not save my progress in hardboiled. It said somthing about only haveing 7 saves not really sure if it even knows

Re: Max payne Hard boiled
I presume you're talking about Max Payne 1?
I've completed it on every difficulty except New York Minute. I have to try that out some day, but I really hate games with a time limit. :P Fugitive and Hard boiled were almost the same. I didn't really notice the difference, especially since you had infinite saves for each level. The only slightly visible difference for me was that when Max took a hit by a bullet he lost a bit more of his health than he used to. Now Dead on Arrival was fun. You only have 7 saves per level, so you really need to remember the levels and where all the thugs come from in order to save your game in the right place. I often had a couple of spare saves left in the end of some levels so it definitely is not impossible. You die easily, that's for sure, though. Those dodge -rolls and bullet time is reaally needed in this difficulty. Also the crooks can take much more damage before they die. I feel like a geek to admit this, but I played this game 4 times in a row, twice with fugitive and once with the other difficulties, and I enjoyed the game play and especially the storyline as much every time. :P |
