Death Rally loading problem

I have had death rally for 2 years and i got a new comp. I installed it and all and ive done setup, but wen I run it the game doesn't load. It just stays at the message; Loading music & effects, please wait...

I don't now what to do or how to correct the problem, can anybody help me?

Delete any configuration files related to Death Rally (DR.CFG in the Death Rally directory) and re-run setup. I had this problem when my sound card reassigned itself to 0x240 instead of 0x220.

Well, i tried that and it made no difference, it still does that even if i run it in dos mode.
