Re: Major problems
Not picky, just unlucky. That's the problem with PC games. You always have some combination of hardware and software that just refuses to work with the game.

Have you perhaps over-clocked your board or have you used memory chips of different speeds on the same motherboard? Those might cause the game to freeze.

If the game still doesn't work, contact the Talonsoft tech support.

Re: Major problems
Dudes, wish I could help. The problems I had were crashing when exiting the game. Seems like some kind of sound problem/conflict. I disabled my "wave device for voice modem" and that fixed it. Also running dxdiag and turning sound acceleration down worked for me, too. Weird...

About your problems... might be some kind of relation to mine, might not. Wish I could help.

Re: Major problems
I'm having the same problems. With or without the patch I was crashing whenever I would try to load the tutorial or new game. It would crash to a corrupted desktop right when the loading bar would get to the end. I then found a site that had a "fixed" .exe file that bypasses the safe disc protection and I was finally able to load a game. I played for about a half an hour and then got the same crash so there's obviously some issues here. I have no problems with other games. My specs are:
PIII 850
640MB RAM
Geforce 2 GTS (12.41 Drivers)
Sound Blaster Live!
Windows ME
Direct X 8.0a

Re: Major problems
mrmudcat. have you installed the patch? I have and it STILL crashes! In fact, after I installed the patch, I got more "page fault" errors.

Before then, it got past the intro trailer, got past the loading screen, but it would hang when I got to the menu option screen.

Man, I wish I could play. I'm kinda new to game buying. I've only played counter-strike before and they're installation worked just fine. Do all new games have this many bugs? Or am I just being picky?

Anyways, I am not trying to be a 'payne'. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be all ears. Also, I'll try to provide more details as I get 'em.
