Prey won't start under Vista(32 bit)
I purchased Prey through STEAM and it simply won't start under Vista 32 bit Home Premium.

I double click on the icon and it just sits there at a black screen.

My copy of Vista has the new SP1 installed as well as all the updates. I have reinstalled the GPU drivers multiple times, tried the Omega drivers, no go.

I have UAC disabled. I even tried right clicking and running as Administrator anyway, no go.

I tried running it in XP compatibility mode as well as all the others, no go, same black screen.

What log do I need to post to see where the issue is? Could this be an OpenGL problem in Vista? I've read others are having issues as well.

I am getting no error message. The only way to close Prey is to Control Alt Delete, goto Task Manager and close out Prey.

Try deleting all local content and redownloading the game.

Try running Steam as administrator (Right click steam and click "Run as administrator")

hmmmm.I've downloaded it again, same problems. Running STEAM as administrator doesn't seem to help either.

Is there a log I can post to diagnose this?

Is there possibly an issue with SP1 in Vista?
