How do you make a map nowadays?
Well my original duke builder (that came w/ the game) doesnt work on my windows xp (when i press num pad enter to go into 3d mode it doesnt work) so what would i use to make my own maps?

Same way you used to but more advanced and it works in Windows.

Also, this thread belongs in the sub directory of this one (modifications) since level editing is mods. You also would have seen the EDuke32 snapshot thread.


EDIT: perhaps I should say that you have to use Mapster32 as it is the BUILD port.

Accident!, check out this site.

eduke32.com

Its a port that works in Windows. All you have to do is download the latest version, extract the contents of the .ZIP into an empty folder and drop your DUKE3D.GRP file in there and your good to go! It also has support for the High Resolution Pack from hrpupdate.duke4.net
