in search for a new editor
since upgrading to win7 64bit it has been both a blessing and a curse. The curse side is its a pain to get some of my old games to work and also me not being able to use my favorite rott editor rott mapper deluxe.

Is there any other editors that are capable to run on win7 or is there a way i can still get rott mapper deluxe to work. I tried running it in compatibility mode but that did nothing

Well, I can give a try and start building my own level editor. I was thinking of making it in Java. However, I'm so much busy actually as I'm during the final project of the program I'm in.

Something I do is using RottED under a virtual machine that is running Windows 98SE. Works like a charm.
