Max Payne Demo Freezing

Hello,

I downloaded the demo version of Max Payne. Everything seems to be fine in the 1st chapter up until the part where Max kills the bad guys in his house and finds his dead baby and wife.
Then there is the comic-book part of max and then the loading of the Roscoe Street Station level...the loading bar reaches all the way to the end and the screen is blank (black). At that point the game is frozen. I tryed everything from Ctrl+Alt+Del to Alt+F4 and nothing works but the reset button.

This is the only time the game freezes. Any suggestions?

Update:
Yesterday I was planning on posting this but was waiting for approval. In the mean time I was messing around with Max Payne Demo and found out that while Part 1 Chapter 1: Roscoe Street Station was loading, if you hit Alt+Tab, the game will go to Windows once the level loads, I clicked back on the game and got back in and heard Max saying something...which then the game continued to work. I would still like to find out what the problem is.

I run:
P3 450 Mhz
128RAM
Diamond TNT-2 Ultra video card
D3D soundcard

run the game at 1024x768x32 and once at 800x640x32 and it still froze then
