Kroz Cheats

How exactly do you activate the cheat codes for Kroz? I tried doing it several ways but I could not get the cheats to work. I tried using ! or x to do it and it still did not work. I even tried to get them activated at the main menu. I typed in X at the diffculty select screen and it did not work either for the Kingdom of Kroz.

Note that not all the Kroz games have cheats in them.
You should press ! or X when you can choose the difficulty of the game.
