Yeah, cartoon games have appealed to me and some are more enjoyable than 3D ones. Games such as Team Fortress 2, Worm series, Wario Land and WarioWare series and others. And the upcoming Battlefield Heroes.

Games like Far Cry 2, Tom Clancy's EndWar and Fallout 3 are approching for this 2008 year, and many seem focused and interested in these three titles.

Yeah, I'm 23 now but was 12 at the time DN3D came out. At the time, I thought the game was so cool and such because of the guns and babes. I still do in modern times hah.

There will be legions of new Duke fans when Duke Nukem Forever comes out. Once you play a Duke Nukem game, you can't help but like Duke, he's super cool!

Wait until the game is released and some kids start playing it and say to their friends "DUDE, DID YOU JUST F'ING SEE THAT I JUST BLEW OFF HIS F'ING HEAD HOLY SHI-!!!" and his friend buys the game. This process will be done throughout the world everyday for at least a year after release.

When I think of Duke Nukem 3D, I smile because it was just a blast to play. I honestly don't think there are any games that have shown a purely entertaining experience quite as good as D3D - It did a lot of things right that others weren't... Colourful environments, Non-Linear paths... It was entertaining and funny with lots of attention to detail, interactivity and experimental gameplay.

Look at some of the better FPS games - Goldeneye, Half-Life, Deus Ex, No One Lives Forever... It really is so much more fun and so important to have interesting weapons and humour in a game, surely that's just as relevant today as it ever was.

Then there are people that just review the game now and say "Wow this was great because it has pixelated strippers, definately a selling point."

As for DNF, i'm interested in it because I want to see the next great game... There haven't been many on PC lately. Needless today, people are pretty curious to see it after so many years regardless though, y'know?

Duke still does matter.

The PC gaming world still needs a hero that rocks out with a macho attitude and looks cool.

DNF doesn't matter before it proves itself or they show people something to look forward to. With all respect the teaser didn't do the job unless you were a fan who put a lot of expectation into it
Actually, I am 15 years old right now. I played Duke 3D when I was about 4 or 5 and I definitely have that nostalgic feeling when I play it today. The gameplay is great! It was simple, but provided endless amounts of fun, and still does today. I've played F.E.A.R., Prey, Halo (1/2/3)and other FPSs, and they're all cool, but Duke 3D has never lost the fun factor with me. I've even introduced it to my friend who's a big Halo fan, and now he's beaten the entire 4 episodes, and said he loved it.

To me, DNF matters, sorta. If they release it, I will definitely be one of the first ones in my city to buy it. If they don't, well... that will suck and I'll probably be pissed but it won't kill me. I will still enjoy the existing Duke games and move on.

Well, Duke's return will hopefully make the advent of more uplifting FPSes more likely, have you played GoW? Resistance: FoM? These games are generally a depressing story, with the exception of EA's newer shooters, they have been all dark, downbeat and sad for our heroes. I hope Duke will give the future FPS heroes something to live for.

I only want DNF to raise the bar regarding gameplay, hopefully that will make other companies make their games more interesting and fun.
