A variation of the stadium level -anyone remember this?
I grew up playing Duke, and I was about 10 years old when I started playing it.
I had an older brother and older step-brother who played the game. I have this distinct memory of a level identical to 'Stadium' in 'Shrapnel City' however the stadium was in fact surrounded by blocks of flats. So, you've got four sides of the stadium with just tiled windows. However, there was one window (I think it was some way beyond one of the H bars) that was open. Inside was a bedroom, another room. I believe there was a television in the room also. Does anyone have any memory of this? I'm thinking it must have been a fanmade level...or I dreamt it ![]() |

The stadium in Duke Nukem 64 was an interior map with corridors you could walk around in.

What I remember was: Stalls and seating and then surrounding that the flats, and there was that one open window accessible with use of Jetpack. |

I had a look through those 5000 maps from Duke4.net
![]() About half a dozen Stadium fan-modded maps. Some pretty good, especially Stadiumz and Stadium2. However, not the particular one I'm looking for ![]() The search goes on... |

Re: A variation of the stadium level -anyone remember this?
Has anyone ever done the N64 Stadium as a PC map? I wouldn't mind replacing the PC version with that... (I always liked that one better!)
For that matter, has anyone ever totally redone the N64 game's levels for the PC? I wouldn't mind having a conversion of the longer "Fahrenheit" and stuff. |

I'd love to have Castle Dukenstein for Duke3D but I'm not sure of the legality of that. The secret DM level (Noctus Labyrinthus or something like that) was pretty cool too.

Re: A variation of the stadium level -anyone remember this?
Yep, Noctis Labyrinthus was right.
DN64 changes off the top of my head... * Rearranged arcade and bathrooms in "Hollywood Holocaust"... no reason for this, really ("Don't have time to play with myself" is a different take, and sounds creepy) * "Red Light District" becomes "Gun Crazy", and is drastically changed (but is actually pretty cool, and has a secret level exit to Duke Burger)... incidentally, despite Forbidden Fantasies becoming a gun store, it still has peep show booths for no reason * "Death Row" lost its chapel, and has a hallway full of jailcells instead, one of which has Hannibal Lecter in it * "The Abyss" was split into two levels - the Battlelord has his own level now * "Dark Side" is very different... I don't remember the specifics, but I know that outside of the large crater and the monolith room, it's been massively redone * "Overlord" was split into two levels - everything but the boss room is in a separate level called "Dreadnought" * The vault in "Bank Zone" is COMPLETELY different; no more rotating sections. It's a huge area with a walkway leading to a gigantic watery pit. * "Flood Zone" is basically the same, except the underwater buildings have been redesigned * "Movie Set" is expanded to include an additional set, which has the secret exit to "Area 51" - also, the giant Earth backdrop is missing (making "Jump At The Earth" pointless, though it's still there) * "Rabid Transit" is very different - there's the wreckage of a subway car that you can jump down into (it actually resembles a real subway car, instead of moving platforms), and there's a new stop with a bathroom and a parking garage * "Fahrenheit" expanded the fire station quite a bit * "Freeway" is MUCH bigger, incorporating a great deal of "Pigsty" * "Stadium" is greatly expanded, though the new areas can only be seen in Dukematch * "Castle Dukenstein" level added * "Shaft" level added * "Piracy" level added (not exactly new... this is a revamp of the pirate ship section of "Babe Land", fashioned into an open-air Dukematch level) * "Noctis Labyrinthus" added |

Not wanting to go off topic in my own thread
![]() Has anyone ever converted Hotel Hell (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1o9q2POnZYQ) ? I imagine there may be some legal matters involved. |

Re: A variation of the stadium level -anyone remember this?
I think DN64 was developed by GT Interactive, which was bought out. Not sure who it belongs to now.
I doubt they'd care, or even notice.

Why convert Hotel Hell? From that video, it doesn't look different at all, except for some of the enemies.

this clip shows some different area's such as the strip club made into Duke Burger in the second level etc. Since the guy is doing a speed run its kind of hard to see stuff but have a look.
