Prey: Crash Landing

In the guide it says to "Right off the bat, you will be in a room with a force field blocking your way, and several hunters on the other side. Enter Spirit Walk, and hit the switch on the right to lower the force field." But when I go into Spirit Walk the forcefield still blocks my way... So I go open the door with the code and walk into another room where I get shot at by Snipers, after I knock them out. I Spirit walk over to the otherside of the room, halfway across is ammno just off the spirit walk path, So if I should try to get the ammno I die yet again. and this is as far as I've gotten in the game...
And the guidebook is of no help with these issues... So please give a guy a hand and tell me what's next... if you can't put it in this Forum please send me a message...
