Mariamus' Sadie Payne= Brilliant!!!
Hey guys, I just wanted to give a shout out to Mariamus on her excellent job on Sadie Payne. See I'm still new here, and I only just got a chance to read the whole thing. I've been really bust lately. Also I know there was already a tread about this, but I wanted to address Mariamus directly to tell her how much I enjoyed the story.
I tried to email her on her site but my damn email won't work for some reason. But anyway, Sadie Payne was a great story. I love the character very much. Its nice to see such a deep story with a female main character. I am a guy, and am a HUGE fan of strong emotional female characters(The Boss from MGS3, Mona Sax, The Bride from Kill Bill, Trinity from The Matrix, and Sadie Payne). I loved how you bascically took us through the mind of a killer, and her emotional development. I also liked the love story between Sadie and Vlad, an assassin falling for her boss is brilliant. Mariamus you did a fantastic job and I hope you decide to do another novel. I was on your site and saw the pictures of you home. You have a beautiful house. I am currently writting a similar story of a pregnant female assassin titled "Sins of the Saint". Except mine is the jorney of an everday women who loses her daughter to a mob hit gone wrong. She loses her soul at that moment and the rest is of her spiral into becoming a killer, as she is forced to murder those she cares for, and strips away her soul. Keep up the great work, and hope to see future projects from you in the future.

Thanks, i'm glad you liked it. It's nice to see that it's still entertaining people even though it's over 3 years old now.
about the house. I don't live there anymore, so I really should take the pics down or change the title. hehe but thanks again

Re: Mariamus' Sadie Payne= Brilliant!!!
I loved it as well. It really defined the characters... if there ever is a Max Payne Three, this should be the storyline. I was very mad when Vinnie died, for no apparent reason. His character had grown on me, and his past as defined by you meets his character in-game. Even as a minor character in the first game, I laughed at his antics. "You ain't got squat on us!" Despite the average voice acting in the first game (Stressed the mob leader accent too much, the "Oh god you shot me... auuggh" line that doesn't sound quite right...), I think it really fit his character.
Vlad... well, let's just say I don't consider Max Payne 2 canon. Vlad was an anti-here for me, a "bad guy with morals", like the Yakuza or some Mafia families. He was witty, funny, almost charming. I like fire. I tend to overuse Molotov cocktails and m80s as a result. Therefore, a Russian with a passion for vodka and big booms is someone I can relate to. |

Thanks for you, ADM. I'll translate this awesome novel to Russian language. (If Mariamus will agree).

I always thought Sadie Payne was one of the best fan tributes for anything, not just Max Payne. More people should see it. You should think about trying to put it back out in the public eye somehow when the movie comes out. Maybe Ivan will digg submit it for you or something.

Re: Mariamus' Sadie Payne= Brilliant!!!
I am (kinda, when i'm not too busy) working on making it an original webcomic by pulling her out of the MP universe and giving her "her own" comicverse. but i'm kinda swamped with stuff at the moment (how can you possibly be this busy when unemployed?)
Oh, and Walking Alone, if you want to translate the comic, then go ahead. And Nessus
