Duke Plus Maps thread
Can we create this thread to psot Duke Plus maps? I love the mod but there's no maps about that I can find.

There are a couple of maps in production and mods in the making that use Duke Plus, One of the new maps will be released with the next version of Duke Plus, and from what I have seen will be a great map. So let us hope we do not have to wait to much longer. There is also a DP CBP in the works at DNR.

WG mod for example. Dunno, if Commander uses DP for hir Stargate mod, too. But I think he does.

I have really speedy make one remake of the 5 first level of Duke...I use the XVEL and Extra on the monster,i have change anithyng in sector,i have just change the emplacement of all Keys,the most are in the monster...

Here is a list of all the Duke Plus projects that I am aware of, including both released and unreleased:
  1. Wonderful Christmas Time (WCTime.map) by JBlade (James Stanfield). This map is included with Duke Plus, in the sample maps folder.
  2. !DP.map by Geoffrey, also included in the sample maps folder. This is a simple map that demonstrates some of the DP effects.
  3. A slightly modified version of Blackened, by Alejandro Glavic, included in sample maps. Basically I just added a few DP effects to Ale's map, mainly changes to the monsters.
  4. Space Jump, by Iggy. A Quake style deathmatch map with lots of jump pads. It's almost finished and should be included with DP 1.7
  5. Sewerside, by Iggy. A detailed singleplayer map that was developed mostly without DP, but a few DP touches were added to it. It was released a while ago and I'm going to start including it with DP 1.7
  6. Gambini (over at AMC) is making a big singleplayer map for DP which is 80% finished. It will be released with DP 1.7 It will have just about every DP effect, including several new ones.
  7. Gambini also made another sample map to demonstrate effects. This one just about about all of the effects and plays as a very simple singleplayer level where must pass a series of rooms that use the DP stuff. It will be included with DP 1.7
  8. DPCBP (Duke Plus Community Build Project) is underway, hosted at the DNR forum. Release date unknown.
  9. Spiker has a DP map in the works, release date unknown.
  10. The Imperium episode, currently stalled but with several near finished maps, is being developed by several veteran mappers and will use a slightly modified version of DP. Release date unknown.
  11. The Freerunner TC, mapped by DavoX and coded by me (of course). It makes heavy use of mantling and wall jumping (there's a page for it at Mod DB)
  12. The WG fantasy TC, (William Gee, Hellbound and myself) for which there is a thread in this forum. In this case the code has been changed a lot, as you can imagine.
  13. The Stargate TC that Commander was working on.

WID Probably it will be ready in summer, for the time being it moves forward with small steps but I It looks better and better. I would finish it sonner but exams are comming and the preassure is high as never before. Also most of the week I'm usually not even at home. I could release it very quickly but I want it to be really really good map which is 500% more work than when making average map. Anyway the fact that you mentioned it has given me additional boost of motivation

Edit: When 1.7 comes out finally I will have some BFG (gravity gun) for my map as getting it back is the objective of this mission. Some monsters in my map use railguns, I hope that sooner or later it will be available also for a player as it is mentioned in the documentation

Im sorry to say Kenny that this download is illigal and you must remove it. You are not allowed to modify the original levels and publicly post them on the internet or make them freely available.

Yeah, I was already thinking of doing that. In fact, I was thinking of putting documentation for the map effects there as well.

And what is a "finished" mod, Commander? Is EDuke32 a "finished" port? If the author adds a new feature to something, does that mean it wasn't "finished"? Generally speaking, when something is no longer being updated, the author has moved on to other things, in which case he isn't going to be interested in updating a wiki about it. I do think it makes sense to keep vaporware off of the wiki, though.

Well, I was meaning that if the author has no intentions of finishing it to a publicly released version. I know I will finish Stargate Mod so I put that there now with a link to the Mod Data Base page for now. But I dont think I will put a link to CryHard Mod unless I turn that into a mini mod and release it how it is. Just needs a little more work for that to happen.

Just reformat this page as a table and add a "status" field to tell apart mods that are in development but not available yet from mods that are in development but with versions already available (with a link to the latest one), from dropped ones, from completed ones, etc.
Pimp your work, put screenshots, etc.
Ideally that's the page where people would look first when looking for new stuff. i.e. people that read here but don't read other places such as AMC miss lots of eduke32 goodness.

WGRealms 2 also uses DP, and I think I made a test map for the water, though I dont think it ever got included in the pack.

Don't know how accurate my "status" columns were for some of the mods. Obviously it's a wiki, so anyone can easily fix anything I messed up.

Heh, I added NS and another one a while back but Usurper made it look better,
I hope the Madness Guts in the RooM mod pictures get moved around cos they dont look right sitting where they are. IMO.

EDIT: Oh its being edited by Plagman as we speak.

Okay, I added screenshots and a bunch of projects with placeholder information. Please update it if you can, it's just copying a bunch of lines and filling the holes to add a TC. It would be cool if someone could post it over at AMC so that people developing projects that aren't linked yet can put the info there. Thanks!

Great map!! It took me 17 minutes to beat it, definitely an enjoyable experience. I really like the designs you can come up with for outdoor locations, they are definitely your strong point. Keep it up! Here hoping that you release more maps in the future

Was it difficult to get into that first pig cop tower? Did you jump to get in there or did you take the other way?
