2d editor features, are these included because they would save me some time?
Hey guys, I havent read this anywhere or heard it from anybody but just in case is it possible to do the following in the 2d editor?
1. Change the height of a sector by entering a height value. Perhaps in a similar way you can give a sector a tag by entering digets in the 2d editor This would be extreamly handy if you needed 50 sectors to match the height of another that is much higher or lower. Instead of using page up and page down, or ctrl page up page down, you would just type the number of positive or negative height units and wolla. If this can be done in the 3d editor id like to hear how as well, but it would probably be quicker in the 2d editor. 2. Change the shade value of any given sector, wall, or sprite from the 2d editor in the same way I described above. Well I hope its possible with mapster but I havent seen it mentioned before. Thanks in Advance. |

Already possible in a similar way. (This method has been in the old dos build.exe)
If you hold ALT and drag the over the sectors you wish to change like so that you get the green-fuzz over them, go into 3D mode and raise/shade the sectors you that you selected with ALT, all of those sectors will be affected, until you press alt in 2D mode again to deselect them.

You can also shade it in that way as well.

It is my understanding that most things done in Mapster are done the same way you would have did them using Build. Sure, there are some newer and very useful new commands, but most things are done with the same key strokes. Thus, checking the mapFAQ would be considered a clever thought by some.
