Widescreen mode?
Is there a console command or any other way to play Max Payne 2 in widescreen mode?

Re: Widescreen mode?
I play on a 50" plasma screen (heh), and all I did was select the appropriate resolution from the initial configuration screen (in my case, 1280x768x32) and away it goes. This is a supported desktop resolution with a GeForce3 Ti500 and detonator drivers.
If you mean playing in a widescreen mode on a standard aspect ratio monitor, sorry, can't help you there...

Re: Widescreen mode?
Why on earth would you want to do that? All modern movies are filmed in widescreen, and fit the movie screen, which is rectangular. In order for that to fit into a square-shaped TV, it is "letterboxed" and so the black bars are just empty space. With a computer game on a square-shaped monitor, the game fills up all the space on the monitor. If you put the black bars in there, they would be chopping off the top and bottom of the picture.

Re: Widescreen mode?
For me when I select a widescreen resolution (1280*720) the image gets all stretched out, Max looks like a fat midget

Re: Widescreen mode?
Max Payne 1/2 have the widescreen resolutions available in the menu, but it just displays the 4:3 image stretched to the 16:10/16:9 resolution you selected.
The WSGF tried to fix this, but nothing was found to fix it.
