Max In A Movie?
There's been talk here and other places of our buddy Max making his way to the big screen... I find this proposition to be an interesting one.. would love to hear your thoughts as to who should play Max in a Movie...

Here's one as a thought starter... may be unknown to our Euro forum members... but check it out, Christopher Meloni from NBC's Law & Order:SVU... already a hard nosed NYPD detective (or at least he plays one on TV - I've always wanted to use that line!! )

Humphrey Bogart would be the perfect Max.

Today, I don't know who would be good for that, maybe Hugh Jackman or somebody. For Mona, a few years ago I would have considered Carrie Ann-Moss, but today...noooo, definitely not. Jennifer Garner might be okay if she didn't play herself.

Considering there's a thead title "Vinnie looks like Justin Timberlake!" I guess one casting decision is done!

Yeah, and I would love to see Justin Timberlake get blown to bits in his Captain Baseball Bat Boy costume!!

Again, with all solemn apologies going out to Mariamus. We all know how she feels about Vinnie!

Re: Max In A Movie?
These two would be perfect as Max Payne

Max Payne (younger) = Sami Järvi
Max Payne (older) = Timothy Gibbs

Unfortunately Sami Järvi isn't an actor, but like we all know he would be perfect Max .

If I have to choose real actor to play young Max then I would say....hmmh...am I only one who thinks Johnny Knoxville? I don't know but he really reminds me about Max

Huh? Jennifer Garner = Mona Sax?
I don't really agree. I think Jennifer looks too...childish. Mona is much more womanly. That picture about Jennifer is pretty good, but otherwise...when I see her in action...NO way.

Okay. Here's picture about Johnny.

I think reissuing Payback under the name of Max Payne would be fine for me.

After all, the guy did lose his wife in that one and then picked up the diseased whore to start life anew.

Re: Max In A Movie?
You could might as well cast Timothy Gibbs and Kathy Tong that both play the roles in MP2, in the B movie it would be it's not like anyone would need to know how to act anyway If you want good actors I'd go for Johnny Depp, they could always make him look a tad like something inbetween Max 1 and 2 and he's a great actor.

Re: Max In A Movie?
Yeah, Mel Gibson as Porter in Payback was as hard-boiled as Max, especially his voice. But right now, I think Gibson (48) is too old to play Max.

Timothy Gibbs has definitely got Max's looks but I doubt he can pull off the part as an actor. I've seen him just once in an episode of Sex and the City, and he didn't gave a memorable performance to me. He's a very handsome actor but being just 5'9'', he's almost as short as Tom Cruise.

What about James McCaffrey? I recently saw him in American Splendor. It was just a small part but when he opened his mouth, talking in Max's voice, it put a big smile on my face. There's even a slight similarity in the looks, and he's 6ft+. I bet he could nail the part.

I like him, too. He was on VIPAR! \o/ He's already played the "cop" part, before.

Re: Max In A Movie?
I was too thinking that James McAffrey could be Max Payne, because when i saw his picture I was thinking that "he could really be Max in the movie". And when he is Max`s voice in the game, so that could be perfect. Though it may not matter THAT much if the voice wouldn`t be the same, if someone else would be in the role of Max, but anyways James McAffrey would really fit the role.

He's too thin. He definitely does have a resemblance, though... since I remember at school, when Resident Evil first came out in theaters and I was asking my friends who lived at the end, all of them said, "The girl, and that dude that looks like Max Payne."

I could do it, if I were, like, ten years older.

Honestly though, whatever actor you choose, you could always have James McCaffrey dub over that actor's lines.
