Which game needs a sequel?
Please not that there are NO PLANS to make sequels to any of these games. This is just personal curiosity on my part, and the results of this poll won't count for anything - meaning that if "Game x" wins the poll, it won't get made into a sequel.

Having said that, which of these games would you like to see a sequel produced to? YOU CAN VOTE FOR TWO OF THEM. I thought about letting folks vote for as many as they wanted, but I wanted a truer poll of which you'd REALLY want, and I thought limiting it to just one would be too limiting, so I went with two.

A few notes:

 • I'm not bothering to list Duke Nukem 3D or Max Payne, as they already have sequels under production.
 • I also didn't list the old ancient games in our library (for the most part). Didn't seem right to list them.
 • I'm also not listing Terminal Velocity, because there were already two sequels to it.
 • Same for Wolfenstein 3D - already has had a few sequels.

Remember, YOU CAN VOTE FOR TWO OF THEM!

I voted Wacky Wheels. Shadow Warrior was not so funny... i don't know why, but i think it was boring... and Wacky Wheels was one of the first games of Apogee and it really needs a sequel *g*

I picked two racers, Death Rally (an obvious choice) and Wacky Wheels...

Even though I preferred Mario Kart over Wacky Wheels, I still thought Wacky Wheels was a fine game because of its online play

A sequel with a great 3D engine would be tops!

Duke Nukem: Manhatten Project

ROTT2, if it was done right, it would kick too much ass! Especially multiplayer.

I never played most of those games so I picked the ones I've played and want a sequel for

Balls of Steel -> 1 of the most underestimated genre's of em all, the (least?) difficult to make 1 I think and if it's really good, it can become a classic among it's genre

Shadow Warrior -> Sort of a givin'

PS: What was the goal in ROTT and CK?
I know there old games so they might not have a "story" but you know..

Re: Which game needs a sequel?
Considering this is my first visit to the site, and I was seeking answers which are most likely
rather simple.... I would have to say Blake Stone but then again I haven't been able to play most of the others.

Stories behind the games add a little incentive to the play.

They're all great games, and they all could use a sequel, but I think Keen really needs a sequel more than any of them. It's difficult to choose, though.

Wildfire Studios came out with "Devil's Island Pinball" which could possibly be considered a kind of sequel to "Balls of Steel" as it's pinball table was originally designed to be part of "Balls of Steel". It wasn't a Pinball Wizards (aka 3D Realms/Apogee) release, and not as good as "Balls of Steel" IMHO, but it's a still a good pinball game/sim.

Shadow Warrior of course, I loved it (and still love it, Lo Wang's humour, the waepons, the enemies,...). And DN:MP, would be nice to have a sequel.
All the other games, don't you remember the crappy graphics? Ok, SW also has outdated graphics, but: see above!

Re: Which game needs a sequel?
Someone said that Shadow Warrior represents what would've happened to Duke3D if it came out after Quake: I don't agree. What REALLY ruined Shadow Warrior's chance of becoming a success isn't Quake... it's DUKE3D!!! They both have the same engine, the same spirit (a guy that runs around shooting to monsters and inanimate stuff, and utters comments on the situation). Unfortunately... Duke has charisma, whilst Lo Wang seems a retard who played Duke3D too much and tries unsuccessfully to imitate Duke's style. And this lameness caused Shadow Warrior to bomb.

(By the way, I voted for DNMP and Death Rally)

ROTT and Wacky Wheels - I suppose it's just because I remember having great fun playing them over the multiplayer with my brother (especially ROTT) . I miss having a good ROTT session every so often .

Re: Which game needs a sequel?
SW, because, the game was such a leader, the detail of the levels was amazing, the vehicles, well it took everyone a while to catch up, The AI, the weapons, the stealth attribute, the ambiance. The problem was that the ninja part was not as well executed, it was just like Duke shoot everything that moves for me, even though the game had so much potential, I didn't use it. Now that Deus Ex and NOLF have been out, SW could use some of their style to move from more than just tricky jumps to have real strategy, along with pulse pounding rooms full of 20 guys with rocket launchers.
Xenophage, cause I want that genere to come back on the PC.
(I also woudn't mind a Death Rally sequal but Carmagedon was so much better)

I say bring on a Death Rally sequel using a highly modified Max Payne engine! You guys really know the potential of the engine, don't hide it cause the demo in 3DMark2001 showed everything!
