Duke Nukem: Time to Kill PsOne Classic? (PSP,PS3)
Do you guys have the rights to this game? It would be AWESOME if it came out as a downloadable PSP/PS3 game.

First off, that's illegal. (I believe). Everyone will say "Oh yeah, I have the disk!" BS. And for those who don't have it and wish to play it, it's really hard to come by now. (I for one lost the disk many years ago)
Secondly, modding your PSP has the potential to brick(ruin) it. Third, 3DR/n-space/Sony see no profit by doing that. If they release it on PSN it makes more money, thereby giving 3DR/Sony incentives to release more on the platform (Land of the Babes, etc)

Under no circumstances should they release LotB again. We're all better off with that game buried and forgotten.
TtK is not that hard to come by, you could probably find it used for $5 or something like that.

(2)-modding your psp DOES NOT have the potential to brick it. do some reading on it. you use this techneque to FIX a bricked PSP. there is absolutly no way you can perminantly damage it. (3)-so? sony didnt make the game, why should they get money, and you already gave 3DR money when you bought the psx disk. kinda dumb to rebuy it. I also HIGHLY DOUBT 3DR is going to authorize releasing this game on the psn. |

Personal use is in no way illegal. Distributing it is the illegal part.

Re: Duke Nukem: Time to Kill PsOne Classic? (PSP,PS3)
I have the game and played it on PS3. Still, though, it would be cool to see it in the PS Store! Why not? If they did put it on there, it would be nice if they could improve the controls if that would even be possible. The game already has analog support, but it could be better.
Edit: I asked George on Formspring if we can ever expect Time to Kill or Land of the Babes in the PS Store. Let's see if he answers.

Re: Duke Nukem: Time to Kill PsOne Classic? (PSP,PS3)
I have all three of the PSOne games, I kept them after I traded in all my shit to get a 360 that later crapped out. HA! Well got a new 360 and a PS3. It would be cool if they put those games in the PS3 Marketplace.
---------- Post added at 06:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:36 PM ---------- Or re-format it to play on 360 |

Re: Duke Nukem: Time to Kill PsOne Classic? (PSP,PS3)
This is a possibility but you have to look at it from a profit standpoint... Is there a big enough interest in converting these games to play on the PSP to still be able to make a nice profit after the cost of the conversion, fixing any issues (if they do), and any rights fee's. If so than absolutely yes you would see this stuff in the future as it is relatively easy to make a port.
However, while 3DR has the rights for it they did not develop it... N-Space did... so I assume they or the publisher also has rights for it that would need to be worked out as well. This could end up being more trouble than its worth. However this is where my knowledge epic fails as I'm not certain how the rights and terms work with third party Duke games. |

Re: Duke Nukem: Time to Kill PsOne Classic? (PSP,PS3)
Is there any way to use a ps1 emulator to play total meltdown on pc? I can't make it past the 2nd level in the new episode cause the controls suck I have the disk if it matters.
