Here we've got another step. I know they are not very good, but I had to keep 'em as low poly as I could and texture is 512x512. But I think animation is cool

If anyone would like to help me, I need three good textures (good means much better than crappy mine), with diffrent faces and diffrent clothes (mine are just diffrent because of colour only).

I'm going to make some action video with those pricks.

edit: as for the textures; if you post the texture you currently have we can all take a look at it.

edit2: as for coding; I'd try to get some view bobbing and such in there as soon as possible. Anything that'll make it look and feel like a totally new game and not just a duke mod

the only hard to texture thing should be hand, but it's shape was hard to unwrap.

And for some coding - I've added smoke from sd_duke and I'm going to add shells and some new blood. I wish also add reloading to m60, but I have no ****ing idea how to make this ammo belt shorter and shorter while shooting. Without that, it makes no sense to make reloading

I've just finished four ways of dying for 'em, I want to add blood on the textures but I have first to wait a final version of those texes.

I hope that I'll find some multiplayers to check that renovation some day

Are those plants ( not the trees the ones on the ground) submitted for the HR pack? I believe that I am missing him. The one I have now is currently dubbing for the other as well.

No, only tree trunk and Palm texture are from HRP, rest are mine.

Transparancy? IT'S GONE! I screwed that up but since I didn't modify any transparant parts you can just cut and paste my stuff in the original texture

Heh, I had an idea for this but then I looked at the belt and realized it wouldn't work because of the way it is curved. That's a tough one.

Anyway, If there is anyone intrested in helpin' me out, I especially need someone to do picup versions of weapons - m16 and m60 for now. It's low poly so it's not so much work, if there's anyone, it would be cool

But I think that HRP stuff is much better quality and all enemies are totally diffrent while here all are almost the same, so I think that comparising both projects is wrong.

Personally i'd take your VC you got manning the turrent there and put him in a similar green camo to the player sprite in platoon, it'd make it go a lot faster then using the Duke model I think. Aside from animation, but even that wouldn't be too difficult I don't think. (not to mention look a little more like it fits with the rest of the guys.)

Excellent work though!

But having modified duke model would make an excellent diffrence between "ours" and "theirs"

And it's not so hard to modify a model. I asked Parkar via PM and waiting for response. Otherwise, I'll have to make my own model from scratch.

Here's a link to small (2,5mb) video which is presentation of all weapons done for now and there's something else...

You can see there a FLAMETHROWER recoded and with new fire effects (all stolen from another TC I was creating, but probably it will never be finished). Flamethrower is now very deadly weapon as it should be. On the vid, you'll not see too much because of my fast and spectacular death
