It's just an interpretation question. I can see it as a " Yeah, duke nukem forever is being developed so I cannot speak about it." and a "No, it's dying slowly and there's no chance for it to be released so I cannot speak about it. "Georgie" is too ashamed of hil epic fail to allow me to speak about it."

However, I would consider that the first statement has more chances to be the one he wanted to say. I'm a duke fan after all.

Let me throw this out there. What *if* the court case has been settled and 3drealms and Take 2 have agreed to "go quiet", get the game finished and perhaps shoot for a "shock and awe" announcement or "surprise" next summer?

I'm not saying this is the case. It's just 1 possible scenario out of hundreds.

After seeing the clip with Jon saying "read between the lines" it definately seems to lean towards it *NOT* being about the court case.

Speculate away.

That's what I got out of it too. Although isn't the court case is about them not working on it/finishing it? So wouldn't it be in George's best interest to show new media confirming that there has been work on it?

From what George and others have been saying it looks like everything that leaks is damaging 3DR in the court case, so it's probably not about the fact the game is nearly or done or what, but about the fact that DNF failed to deliver over repeated deadlines, and T2 wants the money. And the game. By leaking stuff their game will make less money.

If George comes out and says "issues were resolved with
Take 2 and development continues with DNF". what
would that exactly do? People will bitch and moan that
it's back to square one with the game and besides, 3dr
has already confirmed development is on-going with the
game. We aren't owed an explanation of who might
be working on it or the details of a settlement(if this has
occurred).

Better to use this now as a calculated viral campaign and
basically stay quiet. Get the game done then shock and
awe.

I also considered what Crunchy said about a possible
settlement and it being public record as Take 2 is a
publically traded company. There may be some wiggle
room where they really won't have to announce a settlement
until closer to the court date.

Take 2's stock probably wouldn't do much if the settlement
was announced with no hard release date or the game being
finished. I'd argue it could conceiveably *hurt* their
stock if that happened. However, an announcement that
the lawsuit was settled, the game is done, here's the release
date and trailer-I'd argue that would probably give their
stocks a very nice jump.

Of course, all of this is just speculation and nothing
more on my part.

Nope ... Joe Siegler held this forum going on ... it was it's only activity since the rest of his job would have consisted of doing the master CD for DN4E ... since the game was not done, he was only left doing this ...

Duke said not to be disappointed over the lack of official comments, this must mean Duke Nukem Forever is still being worked on, even if all the financial details (who gets paid how much, etc.) haven't been fully worked out yet.

I've talked to Duke today ... i've asked him how to have DN4E finished ... you know what the answered? 'Blow it out your ass" ...

We're screwed about DN4E abandon all hope ... i've spent the last 6 months reading everything single google page talking about it, i've read half of this forum, and everything that could be said is that we don't know a single official thing except that 3DR is in bad shape and DN4E project has let go ...

I know lots of fan (wich i am) still have hope but ... hey dudes it's been 13 years we've been screwed, maybe it's time to get over it and play something else ...
