Someone screwed up. Whether it was HH not getting Venom the demo fast enough, or Venom not getting MS the demo fast enough, or the Live team not meeting a deadline, a mistake was made. We were given a target release date and the date was missed. Now, I'm not calling for heads to roll or anything like that, but I would expect a firm release date any minute now. Leaving potential customers hanging isn't professional at all, and someone on the 3DR end should be kicking MS ass and getting us an update.

And count me in the "my computer sucks" side.

An update needs to be made tonight. Im sick of waiting around checking forms while people with super computers are haveing all the fun. At least let us know if it will be out tonight or if we will be waiting till Friday or beyond.

If it's not out tonight, we're waiting until Monday. Xbox Live Marketplace items aren't released on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. :'(

I hope that, at the very least, we get some new info tonight.

Great game so far. The demo is lovely. (I like the beginning the best though. After I get onto the spaceship it gets old fast, but that might just be the demo. Plus I like realistic environment TONS better than the usual space ship-environments. It was amazing how you could change channels, listen to different songs, play mini games, etc. Then after the real action began it started getting.....i dunno, it started feeling like games ive already played

)

Hey Joe, will the Demo/Full version have a option to play with guests on Xbox Live?

Edit: I'd also like to add my opinion of the demo. I played it on PC (I really stink at PC gaming).
I loved how Tommy just reacts to the environment how the person playing the game would, like "That's really shitty weather out there" etc. The guns are really cool and innovative.

The Gravity aspect is a great puzzle solving element in SP, and adds a lot to the MP. I love it, because even though the maps are small, the fact you can walk on every wall makes the maps bigger.

I don't really have anything to complain about on the demo, even though I played it on PC and I hate playing stuff on PC. That's got to show something because I still loved it. I'm sure it will own on the 360.

No. The guests option on Xbox Live is where two people can play online (splitscreen) in unranked matches.

For example if one of my friends came over, we could play split screen online and I'd show up as Markus96, and he'd show up has Markus96(1)

Yea it's a really cool feature. I think it was first seen in Halo 2, which made it what it was online (and matchmaking helped a lot too).

If you don't know what matchmaking is, it's where you can get a group of friends together and search for a game in a party. It's pretty cool because then you always get to play with your friends.

Thanks for telling us I have to say thats really impressive and I appreciate it a lot . Most companys wouldn't have said anything and then we would of been sitting there waiting for ever and being frustrated. Again Thank you and I can't wait for the game!!!!

This game was barely on my radar, but ever since I heard the demo was coming out, I started reading up on this, checking out video clips (even the original 1990s trailer!), and now its my most wanted game of summer--its a shooter that seems to have polish, fresh new ideas that are sorely lacking in most FPSs these days, and a unique twist on the traditional alien abduction story. If that demo doesn't come out soon I'm gonna havta lead an angry squad of gamers in an assault on Microsoft headquarters

Its not gonna happen guys. Its after 8:00 PM est and thats the latest a demo has ever been released. So accept that we got screwed over by Microsoft as usual and move on.

why is this ms's fault? no one knows who is at fault... do you want them to release a buggy demo, like king kong? then everyone would b*tch about that..

personally, i think if a problem was found.. someone should at least be honest about it and announce it

I'd be surprised if the 360 demo had that many bugs, seeing that the PC demo was nearly flawless.

MS is "testing" it, but my theory is that they don't want to release it today because then that'd take attention off their GRAW map pack for 10 dollars which also came out today.

Thats the point no one ever gives a straight answer as to why these thing get delayed. Own up and give us a frickin reason. I personally think its because they brought out the Graw DLC and didn't want to clog the server with 2 big downloads so they picked the one that will give them a little pocket change.

PS: I know Ubi is the pay content provider but I'm sure Microsoft gets some of that money.

So can anyone from 3drealms say that the demo is going to be out on Monday because this is getting old. I cant see it comeing out tonight so why dont we just make it official and say that June 26th is the day and this time it will hopefully make the deadline.

We can't confirm anything. All I can say is that it was submitted. Microsoft hasn't approved it. There's not much else I can say. Honestly.

So it is late big deal have some patience you sound like a bunch of whiny politicians wanting someone to be held accountable like its the end of the world and it someones fault. News flash the world isn't perfect and always ontime you better learn that now. Take a deep breath and play something else today and until the demo comes out but most of all STOP THE WITCH HUNT YOU WHINY BRATS lol!!!!! The gentleman was very nice and curtious to let us know it is going to be released late. Thank him and get on your way.

Yea it's definately not your guys' fault... you gave them the demo and they weren't prepared (somehow, even though they knew about it WAY beforehand).

It just surprises me why Microsoft pulls crap like this when they know all they are doing is pissing every customer off. It brings me back to march when SF2 never got released. Still not out yet...

I can check really quick but I'm pretty sure if you don't want your child downloading M game demos then you can say so in the system setting.

Anyone can go in and download it, but I'm sure that on the download screen, there's no giant warning that pops up and says "THIS GAME HAS A LOT OF CUSS WORDS AND GORE." Who knows, it could be as simple as something like that. *shrug* Just a thought.

Either way, my general idea is that Microsoft doesn't want to make public to anybody a demo that contains content like that. If any kids "accidentally" get it without realizing what it is, you know that's hell on Microsoft's end, which means hell for 3DR, HH, and Venom.

(This obviously doesn't apply to the full version of the game, which isn't (usually) permitted to be sold to minors anyway. This would only apply to the demo since it's so publicly and freely available.)

I could be wrong, though.

On 360 in the settings, if a parent really wanted to stop their kid from playing M games, there is a setting in the console controls that they can use to prevent their kids from playing any rating of game. So if they really wanted to, their kid couldn't play M games, T games, E games... etc. I'd bet that'd work for demos too.
