Looks very Native American-ish. Probably the symbol of whatever tribe Talon Brave (until his name is revealed I'm going to keep calling him this) belongs to.

From this page, it seems that although it may look like an eagle (which it does to me) - which means "Great Strength, Leadership and Prestige"

it's actual presentation looks more like the thunderbird meaning - "Powerful & Mystical - A Leader".

I would think that maybe this is on purpose, a combination of the two imageries...and IMO fits with the setting of the game.
