Borg Nukem
Hello kids.

Since I released Borg Nukem years ago I haven't really had control about it and I haven't been in to Duke anymore.

Lately I've been checking the net to see what's left of it and found out the game is still online on some places (thank god). The official site has been offline for years so for the people who are interested, below are a few sites with some screenshots and information.

There's also some YouTube clips with general impressions and walkthroughs.

So for all of you who haven't checked this mod out yet, please do so and lemme know what you thought of it!

I also made an anti-lag patch back in the day for slower computers as some of the sparks and particles might make the game lag but I can't find it anymore and I think it won't happen anymore with the current beasts of computers you guys have.

Without checking I think the anti-lag patch is included with the RTCM download.

That was in an old "Playstation Magazine", in France. There was 5-6 pages about all the Duke Nukem games in it. But I don't have the mag anymore sorry.

I remember it Kef

I made a map for it even though I had never watched ANY Star Trek stuff before. That was fun. So the map is quite crappy and it is well hidden by Kef among numerous Borg Nukem files What is even more funny, one spanish review considers my mapping involvement in Borg Nukem as one of its strongest points. Mega LOL.

Spanish sites are not bad. They sometimes contain good and unknown maps. I have once found even a russian review of my TC...

I think I do vaguely remember Kef mentioning that someone wanted to make a CD-version of the mod (an amateuristic version of course). May be false memory on my part but I really do seem to remember a post like that around the time Borg3D was first released. Perhaps Kef also mentioned that he told the guy not to go through with it.

But yeah Skulldog, you probably were ripped off.

Well, seems like I'll have to install a separate EDuke32 session to play this, since the one I have now uses HRP, which the current stages of Borg Nukem don't seem to support. Are there any more versions of this mod in the near future that WILL have the HRP support that we could pretty much use this day in age?

I don't even know where you get off posting this, since Borg Nukem probably uses 20 default textures. Just disable the HRP or make a new install of Eduke32. Its simple.

Sorry, I can't be looking at two forums at once, but thanks, guess that answers that one. Hopefully someone'll revive the project soon enough, if permission is granted.
Actually, if I do create some project, it may probably be more geared towards Enterprise (the Scott Bakula series). Some people seem to underestimate that prequel series.

EDIT: The reason I mentioned Enterprise, was because I just watched an episode of Enterprise on Sci-Fi Channel on the day of this post, and it was the first encounter of the Borgs, iirc.

Hmm, I have NEVER EVER sold anything Borg Nukem related nor have I made one penny making this mod/game whatever, all for the love of Duke hehe, so if someone really asked money for it then it would suck.

I haven't tried this myself but..

Eduke version of Borg Nukem by "Supergoofy":

Here I made a pack for Borg Nukem:

play with: eduke32 -gborg3d.grp -xgame.con

Re: Borg Nukem
@Kef Nukem, thanks for noticing the repack I made. I didn't change anything, though, in the TC.

some optional info:
the "eduke32 -gborg3d.grp" command is enough. the -xgame.con switch is not needed, because eduke32 will automatically look for game.con. but I'm used to specify the custom game con for each TC, that's why I left the -xgame.con switch in the command sequence.

It could be possible, I know there was some sort of emulator for the original Xbox (not 360) that could run Duke.

Probably next thing he might do is make some sort of DS9 mod where Duke is in the middle of the Dominion War?
I don't even know that the Borg were even involved with that series as much as they were in Voyager or TNG at all. Sisko and Kira were big on other events in the Gamma Quadrant.

No, kuffi/kef_nukem/kevin cools has pretty much completely abandoned Duke years ago. Still pops up on AMC once in a blue moon.

Outside of a flashback in the pilot, they weren't on the series at all.
