Prey achievements on 360

please get the achievements on the xbox 360 right, there are some games that really messed them up


for example ghost recon

there are achievements for becoming the No. 1 player in the multiplayer and singleplayer leaderboards
impossible to get for the average player


another mistake they made is you can use cheats and still get the achievements
(use god mode and run through the game in hard difficulty and you get 10 achievements/ 250 points )


I want you to follow these simple rules:
-you shouldnt get achievements when cheating
-achievements shouldnt be impossible to get
-the more achievements the better
-it needs offline and online achievements
-every achievement should give at least 1 gamerpoint, 25 points should be the most for one achievement
-there should be achievements for playing through the singleplayer in the hardest difficulty


maybe you could post a list of all prey achievements for us to see (and discuss) ?

Only problem by posting those achievements is that, then there is no "find and see" thing left. I surely hope and believe they have considered all these possibilities.

there will never be a "find and see" thing

you can see all the achievements as soon as you put the game into your xbox (every game that is)
there is a section in the xbox menu for achievements and you can go and look in there what the achievements are

and there are a few achievement websites that get the lists a few days before the game hits the stores


you can not keep the achievement list secret, so it makes no sense to try that

but it would help if we see them now, because there is still time to fix some or add some if needed

Anyway, altough I don't have an Xbox 360, I agree you shouldn't get achievements when cheating.
But I don't agree that an achievement being "the first" is wrong. Why is that bad? Achievements are supposed to be achievements, not a cakewalk
What's the challenge if the average qwerty can achieve them all?

Ah I did not know that But I would assume there to be secret achievements, but oh well.

Yeah, not every game lists all of it's achievments in that list. A few I've played have said "secret achievment", doesn't tell you what it is.

I kindof like the achievments aspect of 360 games. Glad they kept that with the PC version of Condemned.
I like some of the concept art they included. But, that's why I'm pre-ordering Collector's edition of PREY... hoping for some badass behind the scenes stuff. Like with FEAR.

This one I don't agree with, simply because not everyone has the time to do so, or the skill. It really annoys me that to get the bulk of the points in Call of Duty 2, I have to play in Veteran mode. Isn't it enough that I spend 7-10 hours playing a game? Isn't that really enough justification for points? I think so.

Then King Kong gives you 1,000 pretty easy. The Major LEague Baseball game from 2K has all 1,000 points in 5 total achivements. They're all fairly reachable, if not brutally easy.

the points system is a great way to replay games...i mean i'm replaying alot of my 360 games just to get every single achievment but if i'm honest some of the achievments are just stupidly impossible to get where'as other are stupidly easy to get...

i think developers need to spend a little more time on how we can get points, i like to get challenged to get all the points but i don't want to have to spend 500 hours playing a game online just to get an achievment

I'm not sure when I'll be permitted to post that. Might not be until the game comes out.

Well all we know about currently on the achievements is that there's at least 3 of them.

"Young Blood" Killing 25 rival players in an xbox live game.

"Scrap Yard" Completing the Salvage levels on wicked difficulty. (no idea what that means)

and "Grease Monkey" which they never said what it was for. I assumed it involved braining lots of people with a monkey wrench but I was told I was wrong. Hmmm...anyone want to take this discussion back up? Lets say my new bet's for completing the game on easy difficulty.

Actually, I think Grease Monkey has been removed - I'd have to look at the list.

You removed the monkey!? But it was so cute, that little achievement picture with the cartoon monkey.
