Prey Launch FIX

i have been having some difficulty launching prey and iv seen other having trouble launching the error is being caused by norton to launch disable norton

I disable norton and NOTHING!!!

Game Crash...Crash...Crash...CRASH!!!

Don't Start....error Offset 00385a3a...

BAD Suport!!!...Where's the Patch???

uninstall disable norton and reinstall

Uninstall, disable Norton and Install again and nothing...NOTHING...

The game won't start.....

Argh.......

give up more information on your PC, what's your video card ? are your driver up to date ? how many icons do you have near the clock on the bottom right of the windows task bar ? you should try to disable a maximum of icons, many small programs stick there and sometimes generate some problems with games or apps.

I Play Quake 4, Doom 3, Titan Quest, Hitman Blood Money and etc...

I won't Play Prey...

I want Play....

I want Patch!!!!

i move that everyone whos been having crashes(seemingly ALOT OF PEOPLE, way to big a number for 3drealms to be ignoring like this) to get together and file a class action suit until they make a patch

you dont own the game u just buy a lisence to paly the game so if it does not work its not there problem

I know its a pain, but it might pay to go to your motherboard manufacturer and download the latest drivers for your board... Then get the latest drivers for your video card and (if applicable) sound card. Prey is newer than Quake4 and Doom3 and may use some new feature those games lack... This game is tested against new drivers, so the newer the driver, the bettter in most cases.

If that doesn't work, I've heard the Triton version works better for some.. Don't know if you can use it for free since you already have the game, but if you can, that might be one way to get it working.

To Masterpoint: Patches can't be released just willy-nilly... They have to be verified good, and that takes time. If you are feeling impatient, there's probably a workaround for you on the forum to get you game... All ya gootta do is search a bit, try some stuff that doesn't work, and voilla... Eventually something usually will.
