2 New Shadow Warrior Maps
Hey guys i just completed 2 shadow warrior maps, one set in the jungle titled "You and whose Army" and the other in the city "Greasy Diners".

Ive put alot of work into these so they dont look like your average daggy user map.

The one set in the jungle was made with co-op play in mind.

So please give them a try and give me some feedback on how co-op works in YAWA.

I downloaded it, but may be a very long time before or if ever play it. I'm very glad to have it though. I never know when may play again...just because of time & choice factor.

I loved the game, but I don't think ever played it again after the 1st finish..........but I may put it back on old computer soon...& if do, will try your maps.

This message contains SPOILER info, do not read if you've not played the MAPS.

Hi Dan, I've downloaded your MAPS and played them.

I did Greasy first. Its a well assembled MAP, but I found myself wanting to do more stuff like go into the buildings and hunt down ammo, enimies, weapons, keys or something. The streets were a little bare too, and the number of enimies was low for me. Overall it was put together well, and is an excellent basis for a bigger better MAP with some more work, it just needs some tweeking to make it more of a challenge and more interesting. Right now its basically an easy walk through from start to end with no multiple paths to get the player working for his keep, and revisiting different areas to make the most use out of every inch of the MAP.

Now.... YAWA, this MAP is exceptional. 2 Extra Shrimp on the barbie for you on this one mate. Its obvious that you spent a ton of time on this MAP. The detail is outstanding. It has a ton of bad guys, a decent amount of the right ammo and health that you have to play well to get to, then survive with. Some of the vistas and scenes in the MAP were breath taking, especially the temple area.... wow. The MAP has lots of stuff to do built in, and that made for an interesting play. Tons of places to climb to and places to explore as well as different paths to take. The teaser areas also helped to keep my interest. What I mean is, you can see an area that you know you should be able to be in or get to, and you spend some time looking for its access point and sometimes never finding it cause it most likely does not exist. The MAP held my attention very very well, and kept me wanting more. Again, it would have been nice to be able to explore some of the buildings and get some ammo or a small health. This was more knawing in YAWA as your buildings were very very cool looking, making me want to explore them all the more. You incorporated a few nice tricks in the MAP as well. Nice trick with the Serpent Boss' when you eventually find the gold key. As with a few times during the play, I found myself saying where the heck is that coming from! Then, whoa, I figured it out and did what needed to be done! Sneaky... I like that. I also sort of like this trick you played from the very beginning. I assumed that my task was to eventually find the red key, and would end up back at the first valley where I would end the game somehow. Not so... I was suprised when after battling all that way the game ends abruptly in an ending sector. UGH! This was a dissapointment as I really wanted the perfect ending where I'd end up falling out of the water fall above that cave after finding the red key, and doing one last battle with an easy boss or something to end the game. Bottom line the MAP left me wating MORE! This is good though!

Again, we thank you for the first new SP MAPS to come along in a while, please do more! We appreciate your hard work, and say that you've done well. In YAWA you really have it dialed in well. Its good to see activity in my favorite, and the best 3D FPS game ever made - Shadow Warrior.

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being perfect, I'd give Greasy a 5.5 and YAWA a 9.

Please let us know if you tweek either of those MAPS from suggestions gleaned from this site. I'd love to re-visit them. I think if you made a few minor changes to YAWA such as allowing the exploring of buildings, maybe making a big area to explore and fight in with that tank, and making the ending be finding the red key and ending up back at that valley near the beginning for a boss fight, that this MAP could easily make a 10.

G-Day

Re: 2 New Shadow Warrior Maps
Thanks for the review man i really apprciate that =D

I did wanna make the temple a gateway to hell, make it really come to life once the keys in but...

i got upto about 1000 sectors and the max is 1024 so i didnt get to =( and creating a level that would be half of YAWAs based in hell couldnt be done. i wanted to introduce multi boss fights and the guardians into the hell side of the level.

beleive me YAWA was never the way i really wanted it to be and if i had no restrictions its probably wouldnt be finished right now, but thanks anyway for your thoughts

- Cheers
