Mouse problem with the doom 3 engine and Vista 64bit?
I've tried playing Doom III, Prey and Quake 4 recently but have had the same problem with all. Moving my mouse in any direction causes it to move to the bottom right of the screen. Clicking also makes it move.
I have a Logitech Mx518 but also tried a wireless noname mouse with the same results. Here are my pc specs: Vista home premium 64bit Asus P5N32-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i Core 2 Duo E6600 Asus EN8800 GTX OCZ PC-2 7200 EPP SLI DDR2 900 MHz (2x1024MB) X-Fi XtremeMusic BenQ FP241W at 1920x1200 res, 60Hz I hear lots of people are playing with vista 32/64bit so i'm not sure what the problem is. I've only found 2 other threads in different forums with my same problem but both were unanswered. Thanks for any help. |

Have you installed the latest patches? If not, do it!

I've got the same problem, downloaded all the patches but still the same, the cursor starts in the top left hand corner but shoots down to the bottom right hand corner of the screen and stays there, any ideas?

Maybe we can post our pc specs and software and try and find out what we have in common?

i have a similar set up to yours, inferior graphic card geforce 6800 256mb but i tried the game on an another system and it booted up no bother in xp, it's definitely a vista compatibility problem, have downloaded the latest mouse drivers too but made no difference.

i managed to get the game working by going right clicking on the game, properties, compatibility and then disabling desktop effects.
