\"Hub\" style map changes
Is it possible in eduke (of course) to have Hexen style hub levels were you can go to one level while in another level then return and all the things you’ve done are still *done*

( I hope someone understands what I mean...)

I don't know of any way to save the state of everything in the level, but since gamevars are carried between levels, you can use them to save important things.

Yeah, at some point. Probably not soon though.

I remember TerminX and I discussed this awhile ago (and TerminX did a test run with a map that was fairly interesting but nevermind that)...

Anyways, for the moment (and I was planning this awhile ago), the way to do it would be.... *ahem*

lots and lots of variables and little effects sprites.

It's how I personally plan to do it until the day I don't have to.

I might look into it but I’m not really interested in faking the level effect (that and I’m not too good with loads of variables) especially when I’ve just been told that it will eventually be made for real.
