With the Anthology coming to Steam
Does that mean someone will finally create individual icons for Manhattan Project, Duke Nukem and Duke Nukem II?
On the same subject will someone rename Duke Nukem 2 to Duke Nukem II and give an option to play the vanilla, unmodified version of the game without the changes Interceptor made? |

Re: With the Anthology coming to Steam
Duke Nukem II in the Steam Anthology takes away the sunglasses retroactively added in by Interceptor. Not sure what else you're referring to besides adding their logo in the beginning.
Manhattan Project always had its own icon as I recall from days gone by.

Re: With the Anthology coming to Steam
On Steam, they all share the same icon:
Also there is no 'Steam Anthology' version as they are using the Duke Nukem 2 from the platformer pack in the Anthology so they have removed the sunglasses from that version. |

Re: With the Anthology coming to Steam
I hope they add the sunglasses as a free DLC or something, I thought it made Duke's sprite look better.

Re: With the Anthology coming to Steam
I'm not sure why but Duke Nukem II being listed as 'Duke Nukem 2' on Steam has always bothered me..regardless I'll be purchasing the Anthology on Steam when it's released.

Re: With the Anthology coming to Steam
I just mentioned that to the guys, as it's bugged me too. They said they'd get it changed. Probably not at launch, but it's on the list.

Re: With the Anthology coming to Steam
I was told by A Duke4 Member that the bug was there since early 2000,
The Duke4 Member is Helixhorned: That's a significant bug you found there! It goes as far back as r2000. Wow 15 years |

Re: With the Anthology coming to Steam
Is there a way to readd the sunglasses in Duke Nukem 2 ?
I have bought this version of the game because it was updated, so I'm really disappointed that it was replaced by the original... |

Re: With the Anthology coming to Steam
It doesn't show up in Steam's search engine but if you search a game it contains you will find the package.
Here is a link for you anyway though http://store.steampowered.com/sub/61948 |

Re: With the Anthology coming to Steam
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone at 3D Realms for bringing the Anthology to Steam. Was worried it wouldn't, because I love having all my games in one place. I bought it during the week after launch when it was on sale for $30 but easily would've paid full price. To have some of these games again, when I've lost my original CDs has given me a fuzzy feeling as I installed these classics one more time.
One thing I'd like to know if it could be done - and it is fine if not - is, I own both Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition as well as the one in the Anthology. I have no issue with owning both versions, but when I tried to install both to the same drive they were dropped into the same installation folder in my Steam directory. Is there any way to go about fixing that somehow? Anyways, thanks again for bringing a LOT of nostalgia back for me - I know in the end I will get more than my $30 worth out of these golden oldies! |

Re: With the Anthology coming to Steam
They are the same game/app, they removed the sunglasses with no way for people who liked them to get them back.

Re: With the Anthology coming to Steam
That is not the case anymore. The original look for Duke II was back. I told them I wasn't thrilled with that. I'm not claiming I got it back AT ALL, just that I had voiced the same opinion.

Re: With the Anthology coming to Steam
I don't think you read my post as your reply has nothing to do with what I said. The guy said he originally bought Duke Nukem 2 and also bought the 3D Realms Anthology and was wondering if they were separate apps. I stated that they were the same app and the sunglasses were removed later.
