On the road to becoming a rock star like Charlie, Joe and George!
I have a couple of games that I have multiple copies that should be played by someone and not sit on my desk forever. The plan was to take them to EB and get store credit but yesterday I was hit in the head by a toilet paper roll and I have changed my greedy ways!
I see you guys are anticipating Duke and this is good cause good things come to those who anticipate. 1 copy of Wheel of Time 1 copy of Star Trek Voyager 1 copy of Vampire Redemption 1 copy of Unreal Tournament 5 copies of TA Kingdoms Just tell me what you want and why I should give it to you. I have no rules so just fight amongst yourselves and the people that catch my attention will get what they want. The games are still unopened and in there boxes! If you can't think of anything start your sentence with this.... Ruben your better than Charlie, Joe, George and everyone on the DNF team because.... I will check it from time to time and update you guys on who is getting what untill all my supplies are gone! If I see a post, "I would rather have DNF" , while this is a good comment, it wont help you getting any of those games!!!!! ------------------ |

Re: On the road to becoming a rock star like Charlie, Joe and George!
I would like the Star Trek Voyager one (Elite Force, right?) because I'm a major Voyager fan, it's my favourite series.
[edit] Oh yeah, I would also (or instead of EF) like the Vampire game, because I've never played it before and I want to try it out. [This message has been edited by Volt9000 (edited 01-21-2001).] |

I'll have Vampire the Masqurade thanks because I am a poor impoverished student, who is always crawling around in the gutter and trying to scrape money together.
Besides the game is ok and I wouldn't mind it again. Plus it would help cheer me up as my life at the moment is a bit miserable. ------------------ I'm mighty tighty whitey and I'm smuggling plums!!!

Re: On the road to becoming a rock star like Charlie, Joe and George!
Elite Force, baby! Why should I get it? Why shouldn't I? I have not done anything bad to you. I mean what else am I going to do over weekeneds? I'm too lazy to get up off the computer to watch the show itself, so why not just play the game? I mean, not giving me the game is just sending me further down a road of pirating. You're creating a monster, Ruben, is that what you want? IS IT?
You know, I bet you're gonna get a lot of ass kissing in this thread, but not from me. Volt9000 is a good example. Look at him with his stupid grin, you really want to encourage that behaviour? And no, he isn't mentally retarded, which is even more sad. I deserve, no, NEED this game. I'm a certified geek, I can get signed documentation to prove it if you so wish. If I am deprived of this game, you will ruin my way of life, the balance in which I live. I mean, are you even thinking of giving it away to someone else? You bastard! I will wait by my mailbox. Pray that I see this game soon, because, if I don't, I'll do something very very nasty. BADGER I'm watching you! |

Re: On the road to becoming a rock star like Charlie, Joe and George!
Ruben you are better than Charlie, Joe, George and everyone else on the Duke Forever team because only you would have the utter coolness to send me TA kingdoms and Star Trek Voyager with poleroids of Duke Forever Screenshots taped to them.
They must hold you up at meetings and say "BEHOLD RUBEN FOR HE IS COOL, GO FORTH AND EMULATE HIM, FOR DUKE MUST BE AS COOL". To keep you at 3d Realms they must send Joe, George, and Charlie out to procure female sacrafices, and then they return to clean up the scraps and kiss your feet. They must cry themselves to sleep at night, chanting through the tears "why can't i be like Ruben, WHY OH WHY GOD WHY". Re: On the road to becoming a rock star like Charlie, Joe and George!
Ruben, you are my God. I worship you daily and perform ritualistic sacrifices daily in your honour. I also occasionally practice self-mutilation in order to attempt to be at peace with myself that no matter how hard I try, I can never be you. A sign, any sign (*cough* #1=Elite Force or #2=Wheel of Time or #3=TA: K *cough*) would simply fuel my faith in you, and would be rewarded by intensified prayer and much good porn sent to your e-mail address. This much I promise you.
Oh yes, Texture artists rule! [edit]And oh yeah, Ruben, what do you mean *becoming* a rock star like George and Charlie and Joe? You already are a rock star, at least in my eyes. [/edit] [This message has been edited by Kickassguy (edited 01-22-2001).] |

Re: On the road to becoming a rock star like Charlie, Joe and George!
Ruben, you're SO MUCH better than Charlie, Joe, George and everyone on the DNF team because you've got much better fashion sense and taste. It is for this reason alone that I know you'll send me Star Trek Voyager, but You're also much better looking, smarter, funnier, and your personal hygiene is above reproach.
Some of the posts in this forum are quite good, but They're all lacking - Nodoby can give a legitimate reason why they should have the game - I can. I am really a Vulcan. It's only logical that the only REAL LEGITIMATE Vulcan on the forum should be given the Star Trek game. Also, None of the other UBB members are suited to play the Star Trek game - If you look very closely, the Star Trek box says: "This game is only Suitable for Vulcans who are 3DR UBB members and dead Klingons. This game will cause death or worse (ie: Employment at JeffK Industries or ID software) in Humans". It's written in VERY small letters in the Klingon language, right underneath the rating. If you give the Star Trek game to anybody but me, you would be: a) Defiling the name Star Trek and everything the federation stands for. b) Depriving a poor, homesick Vulcan of a good dose of Star Trek Action c) Sentencing a UBB member to Death or worse (Unless UBB member is a dead klingon but that would be a waste because a Dead klingon is hardly going to have time to play the game.) d) Giving in to the illogical rants and threats of immature lifeforms Badger puts in a good case for the Star Trek game, but IMO he just doesn't make the grade - He eventually resorts to threats. Threats are Illogical, and are often used by emotionally unstable and disfunctional entities. Badger should be given a copy of Tetris or The Incredible Machine because these games will help speed his mental evolution. Give him 10 years on The Incredible Machine, and badger will be ready for something like a Star Trek game. Live long and prosper. ------------------ "A child's rhyme stuck in my head. Re: On the road to becoming a rock star like Charlie, Joe and George!
Which game do I want?
I would take any of those games you offer, Ruben. Just owning a game that has once been touched and used by the actual Ruben Cabrera will make me an extremely happy person. If I died then on the spot, I will go happily knowing that my life was complete. Just fantasizing about playing your copy of Unreal Tournament makes me quiver with exitement. - edit - But if I was forced to make an absolute choice (anything for Ruben, texture god) I would of course love to receive from you Unreal Tournament or Elite Force; and then laugh at their pitiful texture work when compared to your pimptastic art. - edit #2 - I've now see that the competition for the games is on. Btw, I am not joking. Owning a game (UT!) that has been used in the 3DR offices and by you especially will make me ultimately complete. I am not gonna try to win your sympathy. But I really need them their games, Ruben! ------------------ s a i y a n X . n e t #DragonAnime @ EFnet [This message has been edited by Da-Masta (edited 01-23-2001).] |

Re: On the road to becoming a rock star like Charlie, Joe and George!
Hey man
I probably won't get this because I never win. It's like a nerd thing or something. But if you don't try... Look, I live in Australia and basically here games are far more expensive then over there. Twice the price but the same salaries. Right now my dad is planning to see his mom(back in the old country) who just had a stroke and stuff. Well she's really bad and because he's going back there we'll need a hellova lot of money. The ticket is 3000 by itself, and then there is some money we have to give relatives. See, we come from Yugoslavia and well, that place basically is falling apart. And all the family back there would need some money. Well all that rounds up to 6000 dollars AU. And that's a lot. Expenses have been cut to the bone and frankly that means no moneys for the game. This is why I'd like you to send me Unreal Tournament or Wheel Of Time - I want them both. WoT because I'm a Robert Jordan fan and I just cracked open Path Of Daggers, and UT because I love the game (just played the demo again and it blew me away) and I want to use UED too and make some really cool levels (I'm a aspiring level designer/texture artist). Well that's basically why I would like these games. And there is another reason - I wanna win for a single time... I mean I've never WON. Not a single thing. Arguments with friends and enemies in school. Races of all kinds, even when I KNOW I'm better then the other guy/girl. I generally lead a miserable life that seems to screw me over at every turn - help me out man, it would be really cool if I could have one of those two games. Either will be fine. Eh, well, I tried. Keep in mind man. I'm not trying to guilt you in anything, I just thought that this would be cool to have. After all, I love both games... I'll give em a good home. I promise. Their CD's will be kept clean and dust free just like all my other games. And their boxes will be hung on walls like posters... or better yet trophies. Hope I win. - Buddy |

Re: On the road to becoming a rock star like Charlie, Joe and George!
I almost NEVER post in this forum, because I think everyone except you sucks. NO ONE, not a single entity can measure up to your fantastic sense of humor, creativity, and loving care. The time you saved me from those drunken biker guys trying to have sex with me and a pregnant goat that one new year's eve just shows how much of a caring human being you are. My parents, friends, ex-girlfriend, all laughed at me, yet you sat down with me (while it was kinda hard for me to sit down at the moment), gave me a warm cup of chocalate milk, and told me everything was going to be ok.
If it is ok with you I should like Wheel of Time. If not, thats ok, you are more than a caring, beautiful person, and you need not give away items to those who only seek to kiss your buttox for getting things to feed their materialistic needs. Thank you Sir. ------------------ Maxworld3d Wallpapers/Icons/Forums http://www.maxworld3d.com Maxworld UBB forums My Music Project www.mp3.com/neurologik |

Must resist free games. Must find release, can't focus. Bow down chicken, bow down to the sucking vortex of free games. Whoh, thanks spock, bones and fred, i'm ok now. We must remember the true nature of mans stuggle and valiant efforts of the human soul to bag a deal and to reach out to the hope of better games on other desks, perhaps someday, games like ms train simulator and doom3 will be used. Only then will i go for it.

Ruben, I'd like the copy of Star Trek Voyager. I meant to buy it for Christmas but I didn't have the money for it, and my parents wouldn't buy it either. I'm not made out of money, so I don't buy many games. The last game I bought was Diablo II, and that game doesn't interest me anymore.
Please, I beg you Ruben, my life would be so much more meaningful and worth living if I could sit down and play Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force when everything I stand on has fallen apart. Sincerely, smattbac [This message has been edited by smattbac (edited 01-22-2001).] |
