Stargate Atlantis: The Game

Sheppard and McKay play sort of a game of Civilization until they figure out that the actions they do on Atlantis are actually happening in real life. As if they are controlling the pieces, but the "pieces" are people from other worlds. Kind of hard to explain, but it was really cool.

Robin Hood (the one that recently came out)

I have seen several robin hood films and a majority of them seem to have similar storylines, but this one was pretty odd.The guy stole 1 time in the movie, 2 if you count what they did or didn't take from the ambushed party that they didn't even ambush. Ok, 3 times, if you count inheriting the land and old man's daughter-in-law, but that is quite a stretch. And he only fired his arrow just as many times, at the same guy no less.

Did a Green Lantern, X-Men: First Class double feature today. X-Men was my favorite X-Men movie so far. No crappy lines. Great character designs (except for Beast). I think it was infinitely better without Wolverine. I love Wolverine, but I always thought they went too far out of their way to make him a bad-ass in the films.

Green Lantern was pretty solid, but it lacked a bit in the humor department. It's about 4-5 jokes away from being a really good film. Everything else seemed to click pretty well. My only issue was that the aliens seemed to materialize human items when they used their rings. Oh well.

Hugo Weaving was awesome as Red Skull. Mask was pretty much perfect, too.

I totally LOVE this new song from the man. High hopes the whole album will be a better, complete, experience. For anyone who likes Oasis here (my fav. band), this sounds a bit like The Importance Of Being Idle and Force of Nature, but more uplifting and better produced. Lyrics are nice, too.

OK ... so I got some DVD's from the store that looked interesting.

I just watched "Time to kill" with Denzel Washington. Or at least, Washington has a small part in the movie. For the first half of the movie he's on a coffe break while the story starts off as a typical early 80's family drama about a young girl being killed by a drunk driver. Half way through the movie, Washington enters stage left, playing the part of the prosecutor in the court room drama that follows.

The movie is a family drama and a court room drama. The only action seen in the movie is the car crash in the beginning of the movie, and there is not a gun neither fired nor even seen through the whole movie. Denzel Washington appears half way through the movie, and the most action packed scenes this all has to offer can be seen here.
