(Gamestop) Bad experience buying Prey online

I wanted the Limited Collerctor's Edition for PC. Since 2K Games in their wisdom chose not to release it outside North America I ordered it online from Gamestop.com. I ordered it on May 15 very soon after the pre-order program was announced. The final Checkout page stated that I would pay $59.99 for the game and $31.99 for "Handling (No additional shipping fee)". The total cost was stated to be $91.98.

For some reason that I don't understand Gamestop.com put the bonus Mutate pewter figurine in a separate box large enough to fit 5 DVD cases and charged me an extra $31.99 "Handling" cost just for that box. The game itself was sent in another box for the price I agreed to pay.

I don't know if Gamestop can get away with this but I am going to email them and request that they reverse the $31.99 "Handling" charge for the bonus figurine. Why they didn't simply put the bonus figurine in the same box as the game is something I don't understand.

Yes, I agree. That is horrible. Demand a refund for that miniature, or better yet - send it back and demand they pay that expense and your refund.

Yeah thats pretty out there. They aren't supposed to charge you beyond what is agreed to on the page. They might ask for the figure back (its not worth the $30 anyway) or they might not just out of good business.

I am not being rude but you was stupid to purchase from them in the first place, anyone in their right mind would never pay $31.99 handling!!

I had the exact same problem through EBgames.com. They charged me for handling for the mutate figurine, then when I received Prey through UPS, the employee told me I had to pay additionnal $36 for me to get the package. I'm mailing them about that right now.

No, don't send it back becuase they will not refund any SHIPPING charges. If you send it back, they will refund you $59.99, they will not give you back ANY shipping charges!
