error message

on trying to enter spirit walk all I get is a black screen with lines on it. When I drop down the consul I get warning message.entity func_skybox_portal_36 has bad portal source origin at (.192,000000,.96000000.192.000000 I have tried everything to get it to work including getting a new cd to load. Still won't work. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance. Froggie

Does this error happen with the main game, or with a level you made?

The game plays fine until I try to do the spirit walk for the first time. I can't enter spirit mode so consequently I can proceed no further. Froggie.

What computer do you have, and how did you configure the graphics?

I have a Medion ms7012 computer. Pentium 4 cpu. 1.00gb ram. I have winxp os with service pack 2. I am using all the games default settings. The graphics card is ATI Radeon 9800XL

Please! i need some help with this, i downloaded for 5 hours the Prey Demo and when i finally installed it at trying to start the game pops up this issue:

Froggie: your video card is old. Try updating to the latest drivers, and if it doesn't work, you'll have to replace it.

It looks like your system cannot display an OpenGL game scene. Are you able to run other OpenGL games? For example Doom 3, Quake 3 and 4, eDuke32?
I'm not an expert on integrated video cards, but I know that they are generally a bitch. It might be that your current video drivers don't support OpenGL, so I suggest you to look into updating your video drivers. If the problem persists after the update, or your integrated card has no other video drivers, you'll have to install a regular (=not integrated) video card.

I think it does support OpenGl because there's a tab at the VCard options with that info... the configuration of the OpenGl... but still i'll go check for a driver update, let me check and i'll tell you if it worked... thanks...

Well, i already checked and noup, there are no drivers for mi Vcard 'coz i bought the PC after the last driver updation... so... it's supposed to work this way... is there nothing else i can do but buying a new VCard? i have no money to do that so easely...
