Yes it was. Doesn't anyone want to actually discuss the video, instead of talking about old threads about it?

Ok then, I still like it more than any other Grabbag version I've ever heard. It's amazing job.

Has anyone encountered this version without the vocal samples in it? Not that I don't like Dukes voice but im more into sound-track esque versions of grabbag instead of ones with vocal samples (part of the reason the Megadeth version doesn't work for me as much as say as the 2001 version.)

I really dig this version though. 3DR you guys should consider the dude to do the music for ya. Lol =)

Hey guys! Thanks for all the nice compliments I'm still shocked that it's posted on the front page of the site. That's a very nice guesture from 3DR As far as a version without the duke chat, I could post one on my site if there's enough demand for it. Just let me know

I play guitar myself and i think it was a very nice mix. I specially liked the solo part after the "zooming" of your guitar. Very impressive

May i ask what kind of amp you are using?

Scott, thank you very much for that compliment! I'm deeply honored! I guess I'll have to mix two new versions this weekend. One with the duke chat and one without...both with no mp3 compression. Just hope my bandwidth doesn't fly off the charts trying to host them.

Re: Vertex Man's take on Duke Theme
Vertexguy, your version beats Megadeth's and any other version I've heard. A lot of new original harmonies makes it feel really fresh.
I think 3D Realms should really consider hiring you or getting the rights to use your work in Duke games.

P.S. I loved your Contra rendition, too. Keep on rockin', you inspire the rest of us to practice guitar more often

I was randomly searching for "Duke Nukem" on Google Video and stumbled across it and was blown away. I just *had* to pass it along to Joe, and of course Joe is great at then spreading it around to everyone else. I had it playing for quite a while in the background.

I agree, one of the best mixes of that theme ever. Glad to see it getting some very worthy notice!

Definitely an improvement over Megadeth's. I still think Bonch's renditions rock harder. That won't stop me from downloading any and all versions of Vertexguy's take.
