Elevator Transport issue involving sector height
Hey guys, I'm making an elevator transport and I'm sure most of know how they function. My problem is that half my map is going to have to be lowered extensively. The 2nd elevator shaft and the sectors connected to it make up about half the map and all these sectors are actually higher than the starting elevator when I want them to be lower. To reduce about an hours worth of work I need to know something.

If I shift and select all the sectors I can easily notch all the sprites down but they sink into the floor and become unreachable because the sectors themselves stay put. If I use alt to select all the sectors I can move the ceilings and floors of the sectors down together. Problem here is that half of the 400 or so sprites stay put while the other half move down. I tried the 'L function without success.

Is there a way to select everything in any given area including ceilings floors and sprites and move it all down together in either 2d or 3d mode??

To the best of my knowlege, is selecting sectors using the right 'ALT' key is the only way to move floors, cielings and sprites. I'm not aware that there might be a limit to the amount of sprites that can be moved. I don't think there is. Are you sure you got all of the sectors that you need selected?

I found out What is happening, alt seems to move any sprite that is stuck to the floor, if its floating it wont budge. This wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have so many of these, but I'm figuring now the best thing I can do is move all sprites to the floor, lower everything, then fix the sprites back, this will just take a while. Unless of course there is a feature im unaware of.

Thanks for the link but unfortunatly that feature doesnt seem to work, when terminex said

"""Hit ' + F in Mapster32 2D mode and select "Global Z coord shift". Enter in "100000"."""

after I hit ' + F it told me it fixed invalid tiles but didnt let me change any z coordinates.

You hve to scroll down to"Global Z coord shift" using the down arrow and hit enter then enter the amount you want. It works for me.

When I say things, they apply to the latest version available, not to whatever old version you may be using.

Where can I get the latest version? Its been a while since I downloaded the one I have now. I already moved all the sprites down with the sectors but the newest version of mapster could be usefull for other reasons. TY
