Well, I guess I can't get Duke3D now
So I picked up a 1600 MSP card today so I could buy Duke3D, but as soon as I turned on my system and went to sign into Live, I get an error that I can't connect, due to a violation of the TOS.
I call up Xbox support, and the dude asks me for the error codes, and he gets all nasty and says "You got what you deserve, pirate boy!".
Now mind you this is a two week old Xbox360, with the warranty seal still intact, and it sure as hell isn't modded. I've talked to some people on other forums, and it seems that Microsoft is now going nuts and banning people left and right, even if they're innocent.
The moral of the story is be careful, I didn't do anything against the rules, but they brought the banhammer down on me anyway. The worst part is I just resubscribed to Live ($70! ).

A similar situation happened to me! I didn't do a thing but I got banned for a day. I assumed it was because I was joking around in the Left 4 Dead Demo and shut doors on my allies while they were trying to get to the "Dead End" (I know it was deucy of me but hey killing zombies gets me cocky,) but now I don't think that was the case.
Hey, at least I still got to keep my account intact (achievements and all. Yay!)

If you're playing with people you know, it's funny. DON'T do it with random people. It's ANNOYING.

Yeah, according to other people i know they're being really nasty to people who they assume are pirates. Good job, pirate jerkwads, now legit people are being punished!

Think of it like the Dark brotherhood quests (one where you kill everyone in the safe place). Microsoft is banning a lot of people hoping to get rid of any bad people (pirates, no not the arggh ones). Some innocent people are being punished, but they do get the bad people.

Guess there doing this military style, one person messes up the whole platoon has to suffer.
