[[MP1] - Part 1 - Chapter 2] Can't figer out what to do with the detonator

i just got the game yesterday and i've spent about two hrs trying to figer out how to do this. i answred the phone, i got the detonator, and i know i need to use it on that door that max said that there's a detonator devise on it, but i can't figur out how to use it! please help!
