My "Take Me Home" video on YouTube
For those of you who haven't been here for very long I'll fill you in. Before Prey was released, they announced After Midnight Project would have the ending track to the game with their song "Take me Home." I couldn't get enough of this song, I just loved it.

So using windows (crappy) movie maker and all the prey footage avalible at the time (and it wasn't much but it was enough) and all the band footage I had (about 5 minutes worth) I cut together a music video for the song and I think it is some pretty good work.

The video has been featured on filefront and got a bunch of downloads, but I felt that since everyone seems to watch their movies on youtube exclusively these days I figured I should get on the bandwagon and uploaded it.

For those of you who haven't seen it, enjoy. For those of you who already have, I thank you.

I appreciate all your comments. Jeron Moore (the director of the song's real music video and webmaster of directsong.com) said he liked the video a lot and said he would pass it over to the band, but I have not heard anything from the band about what they thought of my work. Their opinion matters to me...well theirs and Kevin's Girl's, but she loved it.

I had never done a music video before, although I am trained in editing (with real software editors like Final Cut, albeit older versions for os 9 (don't ask)). I cannot in good concience tell anyone that windows movie maker is a useful piece of code, and I implore you not to touch it if you can get around it.

Thumbs up Re: My "Take Me Home" video on YouTube
Yo Maniac, I'll see if I can't get one of the guys from AMP to reply to this thread for you. I'm sure they've seen the video, they've just been pretty swamped. If you have MySpace, that's really their primary hub of communication.

Oh, and by the way - have you heard Take Me Home (Acoustic)? Pretty cool stuff there. You can find it over at their PureVolume portal.

Thanks for the mention, and again ... cool job on the video. It's freakin' hard to put something together without corresponding footage!! Trust me, I know. I should make a post about the making of the Take Me Home video - that was quite a fiasco. What do you think? For instance, I bet most people don't know that I was using HD video equipment borrowed from the Superman Returns documentary crew.

Peace,
Jeron

PS - Also, I'm not really the DirectSong webmaster... I did have a role in establishing the aesthetic and getting the site going, though. I handle marketing and sales for the company.
