Right now, things are happening so fast, it's hard to keep track of anything! *LOL* I will never find the right time to close additions for HRP release this way...

However, also don't forget about the slime babes... although I think these will also need facial modifications in their md3 files to really improve their looks.

@NightFright: In my opinion, you'd rather close additions for HRP already; Atomic Edition babes could be next big stuff, let's just stick with Duke Nukem 3D nature flavor first.

I will keep entries open till Feb 24. Currently, the stuff that's coming in is too good to be skipped.

Regarding the robotic babes:
The skin could (or even should) have small visible bolts, maybe even seams to make clear this is a robot, not a human babe. Skin color could also be different, maybe paler or with a blue/steel-like touch.

the geisha need serious improvement, could be interesting to have her remodeled... but it's better to concentrate on new material... for example the pirate babes, which animation are simple and quite repetitive...

Cool. I always thought FEM10 should resemble the "Sister Act III" babes (as seen on highres tile #964).

BTW Conrad: Where did you get the ice texture for the frozen skins? It isn't included in HRP pack.

Home made: you just take ice, break it in a towel, scan it -- you take a cristal rock, scan it -- play with PS layer proprieties and modify hue/saturation...

While you guys are doing these babes (*snicker*) Anyone want to give 4423 and 4424 a run. This would be the Maiden (yeah right) on the front of the boat. Only half a woman and a long wooden pole....
I would get to it but I have not been keeping up with the models and I am not sure what base is around right now (nor do I feel like making my own woman).


Also, for NightFright: wasn't the impaled woman done at some point? I know I had seen it before but because it was never used in game it got dropped....

I know nothing of model making but my brother teaches 3D computerised drafting at a college. I asked him if any of his students would make some object models for extra credit or something and he said he had a couple of volunteers. However, the program they use in class,Autodesk Inventor, does not output in md3 format but a bunch of other types. What kind of files are produced with the programs you guys are using and then converting to md3?

without animation you can export to something like obj.

If we are talking animation I am not sure but animations are not easy to alter outside of its native format.

AFAIK, output formats of Autodesk Inventor, are either .ipt .dwf .sat .stp .stl .xgl or .zgl. Maybe your bros. college has access to other software that can convert these to either .3ds, .dxf, .obj, .raw, .ply, .wrl or any of the more common formats.

Be reminded, though, of the game's low poly limits.


EDIT: There's a chance ".stl" is useable, but we'll need to test that first.

Hmmm... I had #4516 included in my characters.map where all babes are for checkup.

Looking at it right now, there are 3 (or 4) babes left to do:
- 4510 (robot pirate babe)
- 4512 (two robot pirate babes fighting)
- 4514 (robot pirate babe with pistols)
- 4516 (if it is a babe)

Personally, I wouldn't care if you did #4516 female style. I must say I took it for a woman, too. Even if the fact that its breasts are naked would speak against it since 3DR very rarely included such "explicit contents" (exception: E3L1 Chinese statues). Judging from the face, I would still say it's a female torso with only partially articulated breasts.

Not many left... But do you want to postpone the release until they're done?
If so i would start working on another one.

As far as 4516 is concerned, i think Mr.Fibbles is right. It fits the theme of the map better (boys against girls ). Also Conrad is probably working on the male version already.
And the "explicit content"-point also speaks for male.

However, i have them both available as Blenderfiles. Exporting them to md3 would be a matter of minutes. You decide.

Both derive from the same Blenderfile. Framenames, fps, whatever defvalues are the same. Models and textures could be named identically, so all in all: no prob.
It's a good idea, Piterplus!
It just depends whether Conrad would do TWO skins.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. When she is looking straight at player, it's pretty obvious IMHO that it is a female face, not a male one. Besides, the sprite is not placed near the slave auction but the pirate ship where only babes can be found.

It's really hard to decide, though. Maybe we should ask Joe!
