Nice cover art for Shadow Warrior. Not so fond of the D. Dave cover... The shotgun is unique. But that's just some random though I wanted to point out, the fact that these games are up on Gog is great. I don't buy games there, but it's nice nonetheless.

I'm amazed with the recent progress of GOG. Even though I already bought Shadow Warrior from 3D Realms, I'm glad that GOG is selling SW complete with its expansions. If only they would release Sunstorm's expansions for
Duke3D as well.

I was surprised too that Dangerous Dave was acquired by GOG. I am disappointed that the more Mario-like first DD games weren't released, although I think they still are free-downloads somewhere online. I guess including them would just bring about copryright infringement against GOG, and Dangerous Dave has already had problem enough with the law when playing through Super Mario 3 replicated.

Although DD was done by id, the developer is listed by GOG as being SoftDisk, so I guess that old company which id collaborated with a number of games (including Catacombs 3D) owns the rights. I just hope that this may be the first sign of id making a deal with GOG to sell a few of their classics (though I may doubt it).

I've checked id's website to see if they are still selling their old games. They are, but not all, and the ones they do sell are not as low priced as those which 3D Realms sells. I guess Steam is the only place where all id games are sold, but I'm kind of weary of Steam, and much prefer GOG.

Why isn't id adopting the business model 3D Realms has with their games? Or is it Bethesda who is the culprit? It would be so much more satisfying to see all of id's games (and their collaborations with Raven and Softdisk) available for purchase and low priced on their site. Why aren't they?

The 3DR/Apogee games already on GoG before this(Duke3d, DukeMP, ROTT and the two Blake Stone games) were put there by the new Apogee. Shadow Warrior and Terminal Velocity were published on GoG by 3D Realms and there are more games coming, here is the press release.
