Re: Max Payne Film Unrated and PG-13 need to know differences
They add:
1. blood;
2. little more brutal speech (in russian version for example);
3. movie is longer (~9 minutes) in Unrated version.

I loved both games and I enjoyed the movie.

I just wish Vinnie Gognitti had a roll, where's Vinnie?

simply enough, the unrated version is a couple mins longer (no real significant difference) and it gives them the right to release it without a rating because they know it would get a kid friendly rating like pg-13 and they want it to seem like an adult movie.

i still think it's underrated though.

Java the Hutt summed it up for me.

it was definitely not the best movie I've ever seen but it's an adequate adaptation.

then again i saw this just after the "the day the earth stood still" remake and a pile of feces covered in vomit is more entertaining than that movie.

Max didn't wear a trench coat in either game. He always wore a leather jacket... very similar to what he has on in the movie.

He's probably hunched up someplace in a reject box along with Vlad, Woden and the good script to the movie.

Me and the wife watched it Tues night (I picked it up). It was better than I thought it would have been. I knew there was no way they could have made it as good as the game. Just to follow the game's storyline would have made the movie about 8 or 10 hours long (in my opinion). Thought it was a much better game-to movie than others that have been made.

I just saw the movie, and man is it terrible. I don't know if anyone here is trying to go easy on it, but it really is only better than Uwe Boll's movies, sorry to say. Not as good as most other video game adapted movies. Well, maybe Max Payne is close to the Super Mario Bros movie or Street Fighter, but no where near as good as Mortal Kombat.

That probably seems subjective to compare it to those movies, but Max Payne seemed to stretch out every scene as long as it possibly could. In fact, I noticed that the commercials advertising the movie seems to show sped-up versions of several scenes, just to make it seem more exciting and frenetic. Maybe they could be sued for false advertising.

It's only three minutes longer as far as I know.

Also, here's a review of it.

Sequel, assuming it gets made. From what I know, the studio is interested, I think it's down to whether Walhberg wants to do it.

TRENCH COAT PEOPLE!

From just being a random action movie, it wasn't too bad, but as a huge fan of the games, I'm pretty disgusted with the Writer.
Blame 20th Century Fox co-chairman Tom Rothman and the casting director along with the director.

I just saw it this weekend. I liked it. I didn't think it was amazing or anything, but it was enjoyable. They took a lot of liberties, but I still thought it was done pretty well.. I wouldn't mind a Max Payne 2.
