Windows XP asking for hardware profile on startup?

One of my computers asked me to choose a hardware profile when it started up this morning. This has never happened before. I did a hard reboot of the machine, and the message did not come up again. Is this something I should worry about?

For the record, this was the computer for which I had to replace the hard drive several years ago. The new hard drive only has about 5000 hours of use, and a S.M.A.R.T. tool shows no problems.
