"Access violation: No RTTI Data!" crash
I haven't seen this error addressed on the boards (apologies if it has, could you just point the way to the solution?)...

In certain parts of the game, I get the error in the subject (No RTTI Data) and a crash back to desktop. I read the developer's troubleshooting thread and ended up setting the audio hardware acceleration in DXDIAG as low as it can go, and still get crashes. (Some parts of the game seem to cause crashes much more frequently than others -- I had to disable sound entirely just to get through the burning restaurant level.)

I have a 667 MHz with 128 MB of RAM, Windows XP, a GeForce 2 GTS and a AWE64 (yeah, the weakest link in the system, I know). I'm guessing that this is an audio problem since disabling sound got me through the crash-heavy restaurant level. Does anyone know of a workable solution? Naturally I don't want to keep sound off, and Creative's website seems to indicate that they're not going to release AWE64 drivers for XP. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks for any help.

I had the same problem, and almost tried every troubleshooting, then i changed my bus speed from 133Mhz to 100Mhz, all the problems gone, mp hasnt crashed yet, even once. Now my p3-733 works like p3-700, Of course downgrading your cpu may not seem to be a good idea but there is not a noticable performance loss. Just play with the jumpers on your board.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm hoping, though, that there's a solution that doesn't involve cracking open the case and messing with jumpers -- that seems kind of extreme for one game. Are there any other ideas out there?
