Keen 1-6 patching utilites
Ok, here's some utilities I've been working on recently over the past few days. One of the uses is loading levels that have modified by TED5 in Keen 4-6. I've made a posting on the Public Commander Keen Forum about this, if anyone wants to read on.

You can grab the utilites here (67k) and the source code here (28k).

EDIT: Updated to include support for Keen1-3 v1.31 and Keen6 v1.4

You'll need to decompress the game executable first as usual (you can grab UNP here).
For the hexediting task needed to get the game to read TED5's generated maphead files, you can grab ZapIt here.

Please read the documentation before you start. Let me know whether these utilites work for you, there's still possibly some bugs in there.

These utilities may eventually become part of a larger Keen editor package I'm thinking of working on, which would include Keen 1-3 and 4-6 level editors. However I'd like to know how much interest there is before I go ahead. I'm probably going to port the DN1Mod editor I wrote some time ago over into DJGPP and re-use some of the same design. If you have any feature requests or ideas you want to suggest, post them here or email them to me.

Have fun
